Courtyard by Marriott Winston-Salem Hanes Mall

This hotel fit the bill. Nothing fancy- but clean and safe. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was super clean- shower, towels, floor. Quite a few early morning slamming doors. It was disappointing that there wasn’t complimentary coffee/tea in the lobby. Fairfield by Marriott does that- and it’s why I’d probably book there next time, rather that here at Courtyard. HOWEVER- I could sign into Netflix from my room. That was great!

Quiet, bed very comfortable, room very clean, check in process easy.

Tiffany was very pleasant during my check in and Ashley at the bar was very nice and courteous! The hotel was nice and clean!

As a Marriott member very disappointed in this Hotel. Had to switch rooms as the first one smelled like Cigarettes. Second room had leaky Toilet and Broken Shower Head. Not worth the money, sleep in your car.

It was so close to a busy road I could hear cars zooming by all night. Also doors opening and closing in the hall were very loud. The television was stuck on display mode which was very annoying.

After arriving to our one night stay, I was greeted by a very friendly hotel receptionist and given my room key for myself and several other family members in my group. We had a total of 4 rooms. I chose this hotel based on the high rating and the “exceptional clean” Status. The hotel was older and poorly maintained throughout. We had to change rooms several times due to air conditioning not working, strong musty odors in next room, leaking a/c in another room. Large stains on mattresses upon inspection prior to accepting room. I was surprised to have this experience as I always thought Marriott was a quality chain. We were very disappointed. No breakfast due to COVID. Other hotels we stayed at offered grab and Go breakfast selections. Hotel lobby and elevator were clearly not vacuumed in the morning. Hotel just felt run down. This is the first time I ever felt motivated to write a review.

Picked this hotel based on cleanliness ratings. Clean room but had an odd offputting smell that almost smelled like urine. Peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, burn mark on the carpet in the room. Bed was extremely uncomfortable and caused back pain.
