Gteat hotel. We had the cheapest room which is small, but the expensive centre of Bath location means it is good value. Thr bed is really comfortable with beautiful linen. Breakfast is now fully served because of covid. The food was excellent and the portions fine. I would particularly recommend the fresh fruit salad and the full English. Fantastic staff.

I had stayed at this hotel before, many years previously and had a great time. So it was particularly disappointing to be allocated a weirdly shaped room with a view of a wall, a fire escape and an emergency light...which shone brightly in our window all night. It was just a one night stay and we were busy around town from the moment we arrived until turning in for the night, so the room didn't matter so much. But our peaceful night was disturbed from 5.30 the following morning with a noisy group of near-room neighbours who decided to stomp up and down the corridors, in and out of each others' rooms while carrying on a very loud conversation with much 'hilarity' for the next two hours. Given it was a Sunday morning, I didn't really appreciate this. On the upside, breakfast later that morning was good. However, our room nowhere near warranted the £250+ charge for the night; and the check-out staff were not empowered at all to do anything about our feedback. If you stay in the hotel, avoid room 128 - unless you like views of walls; the sound of fire doors slamming in the night and a sense of an over-priced venue living on past glories.

Great location, fantastic staff and very Covid aware / clean. A real gem of a find

The Francis Hotel was amazing. We booked a room with a shower not a bath but they switched rooms for us with no bother. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were amazing and the rooms very comfortable. Spoil yourself if you can with a superior room. Highly recommended.

Overall our stay was good. The staff are helpful & friendly, however some members of staff seem overworked. The classic rooms are disappointingly small, we were unable to put our suitcase on the stand or the floor without it being a hazard. Parking is limited, many guests arrive before the 2pm check-in time & park, so if you arrive after that you will need to be good at parking with limited space. The hotel is well situated for all that Bath has to offer.

Fantastic hotel, prime position within the centre of Bath for exploring. Service was exemplary and staff are fantastic, have stayed here before and will do so again. One thing to note is the car park at the rear of the hotel is a little tight, I do profess to owning a larger car but even those with smaller cars will find it tight if the car park is as it was on my visit, double parked in places.

A fantastic experience at this elegant and friendly hotel which faces onto a beautiful square right in the centre of Bath. The staff were simply lovely, (special thanks to Katherine) on learning it was our anniversary she gave us a voucher for a drink at the bar and left chocolates in our room with a handwritten congratulatory note. Room was really clean and beautifully appointment. Had everything you would want from a hotel of this standing.

A lovely hotel in the heart of the city. Room was perfect with a great bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. An amazing experience in these difficult times. Would highly recommend.

The hotel was all we hoped it would be and the only problem was the small car park. We choose a hotel because it has parking but we arrived in the rain and it was full. There is no leaving of luggage due to restrictions so we had to park at a long stay car park where you need an app to book and pay and then walk to the hotel in the rain. I think it should be made much clearer that this is the case.
