Holiday Inn Basildon

The staff are brilliant , They where professional and lovely to talk to. It was my second time staying at this hotel. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family, I’m staying at this hotel again next year :)

what a stay first room they gave me had not been cleaned then i got a normal room when i paid for an executive then given an executive room ordered breakfast fr 8am but it never arrived when i asked at reception was sent to first room i was in no answer so they took it back why was it not checked what a horriblevisit

Hitel looks very tired, bathroom fittings need urgent updating, carpets as well... the biggest disappointment was breakfast - we were told there’s no cooked breakfast but we didn’t expect, mini yogurt (smaller than shop size) mini orange juice (this was the size of a thimble) cereal bar and a porridge pot... all for 10£/day... what happens to good, old sandwich??? Definitely not worth it! Had we known we would not pay for this 10£! What was more like 3£...

Been here before. Our stay was good, but room was cold because of the AC. Due to the COVID19 breakfast was grab and go which consist of porridge, apple, yoghurt, fresh juice, snack bar. It would be good to vary this on occasions. The staff are very polite and helpful. It is a lovely place to stay as they have greenery at the rear and a lake. Lots of shopping area and not far from Southend on Sea. Will surely stay again

Our stay was just a couple of weeks after the covid lock down. Very few staff working but the ones that were could not help us any more. Especially David on reception who also covered the bar and gave us everything we needed in the room as housekeeping was not on during our stay

Staff fantastic at the hotel,working extremely hard during this pandemic. Hotel in good condition, room spacious and excellent location.

Room okay, but cleanliness left a little to be desired. No soap in the bathroom. Desk service good. Staff helpful and polite.

Basic accommodation - corridors looking very tired. Shower in room not working - had a bath instead. Reported to reception upon check out

Hotel is very convenient for Basildon. Not the most attractive from the outside it interior is fine. Located on a retail park with other restaurants nearby.
