Golfhotel Amsterdam Purmerend

Was there for a night. Hotel looks nice from outside and the room was ok.

A good place if you are visiting Amsterdam, volumdam etc. no parking problems and very helpful staff

Very professional staff and beautiful location. We wished we had more time so we could have stayed longer.

Had no information off the reception staff when arrived, they advertise that they do room service but no menu or phone in the room. No information book in the room, and found no staff to be helpful. Could not eat anything in the hotel due to being gluten intolerant. Room was not the cleanest and could do with a new bathroom. Carpets have stains and smells stale in the room, stains on the walls. Hardly slept with the mattress being very uncomfortable, all I could feel was the springs.Would not recommended staying here!

Our stay was marred by the condition of the bathroom. Luckily the weekend was wonderful as we were meeting friends. The whole hotel is tired & in need of updating but our bathroom was horrid! There was a long term stain in the sink. I didn’t even want to use it. The tiles & grouting just looked like they were harbouring germs & dirt. The room itself was large but not comfortably situated or welcoming. The staff were all very nice & helpful & breakfast was ok. Would never use this hotel as a holiday destination & we were just glad to be out all the time. We asked for and got non allergenic bedding in the room which we were grateful for

They were happy to make an exception and allow me to have my cat with me on the one night sleepover on the way to the UK. It made the journey so much easier! I knew from my previous stay that there are no tea or coffee facilities in the room so I came prepared this time. The food in the restaurant was really good. All in all a pleasant stay.

Hotel is not a 4* ,it was pleasent,,no tea making facilities in the room was very disappointing, beds were good ,tv had lots of channels, golf course looks very nice from your room

The property is very out dated, differently not 4 stars as Expedia suggested. They lacked the basics i.e. shampoo, soap, toothpaste, hair conditioner etc. The light didn't work nor did the TV.

I'm sure that my review title explains everything about the hotel. I flew from Toronto to Netherlands and checked in for 6 nights on this hotel. When I was about to sleep around 11:00pm on the first night, I heard a strange nose and found a small rat/ mouse climbing on the desk chair. It was so scary. It was running around my suitcase and on the desk where there were my watch, headphones, wallet, keys and etc. I tried to record a video for a proof. If you search 'rat in hotel room Hampshire Golfhotel' on Youtube, you will see the proof. Somehow, I had to find out other hotel on my own and moved. It was 2:30AM when I checked in other hotel. Eventually, the Hampshire Golfhotel paid the the other hotel. But, they refused to compensate for a cost for cleaning exposed clothings and personal goods. Diarrhea and high fever started 4 days later and I was taken to a hospital emergency centre. Doctor didn’t allow me to get on my scheduled flight. So I had to stay in Netherlands for two more days which caused me the extra expenses. It was terrible experience with this hotel. Run away from this hotel if you can.

This is not a 4* hotel, we had to get upgraded as our room was dark and dingy. A refurb maybe?
