Excellent service, great service

The bed was not the comfiest, breakfast was unfortunately not so good and the pool was shut at 6pm. The food in the main bar was good. Disappointed about the pool & the fact it opens at 8am, not good for business customers.

Quite room and lovely staff. Nice food, however, over the average price you can get in restaurants.

Only the newly refurbished rooms make it worth staying at this hotel, if you get one of the unrefurbishmed rooms they are old and outdated and the same price

The entire hotel: staff and rooms are fantastic! Even the fact you have a brilliant pool! The only let down it the 'gym' and I genuinely mean the ONLY let down. a running machine crammed almost on top of a cross trainer with nearly enough room to get on and off does not a gym make. Keep up the excellent work with the hotel I'll certainly be coming back to you next time but I would immensely appreciate a proper gym with some weights.

Check in is 3pm which I've never encountered before and stay at hotels monthly. Tried to grab a coffee from the bar but no one there and when a member of staff who looked about 12 finally arrived he didn't apologise for the wait. Tried to ring reception to ask about towels for the pool but no answer after repeated attempts. Asked at breakfast for more coffee, milk and sweeteners, got the first two but not the sweeteners. Overall good but could have been slightly better.

Pool out of order. I asked how long it would be out of order, when we arrived and in the morning, we were told both times they didn't know. We decided to cancel the second night. When I asked for a refund the receptionist passed me over to someone else who said there was no one in the hotel who could authorise a refund and gave me a card of the Manager, Heather Roberts. I have emailed this Manager with no response. Hotels.com tried negotiating the refund but in the end said the hotel would not refund the second night. I understand things break and can be out of action but I do not expect to pay for something I am not getting. To be given a reply via hotels.com we have a strict policy of no refund in this matter, is unacceptable. This hotel is tired and are penny pinchers. I later found out that they were shortening the opening times of the pool (when it's working that is) to save money. The breakfast is the cheapest produce, from the cheap frozen sausages to the no frills white bread. I asked if they had soya milk, which they did, but it came in a dirty metal jug that looked like it was just left in the fridge for the odd guest who can't take milk. Bed uncomfortable. My wife and I ended up top and tailing due to avoiding the springs protruding, making it so uncomfortable. I would avoid this hotel if you like to swim, enjoy a good quality breakfast and a good night sleep.

The room was nice and the bed was comfy. If that is all you are looking for then it is a great hotel. I was hoping for somewhere with a gym and was disappointed to find that their gym is a cupboard with a treadmill in it so I won’t be staying again.

A little disappointing. Had booked an 'executive' room which clearly stated had a 'bath/shower combination' but on arrival was told they only had showers. Was moved to a 'classic' room with bath but without any of the extras we had paid for - bottled water, dressing gowns etc. To console myself I settled down to enjoy a 'cream tea'. Ordered and paid for it, only to be told, five minutes later, that there were no scones!
