NH Hamburg Mitte

The staff were excellent and very helpful. Unfortunately I had a room with a smelly bathroom (due to bad plumbing in room above or neighbouring room). Basic room has design flaws - bathroom floor always got wet after shower; insufficient hooks for hanging towels; placement of tap in the hallway sink... Kettle and coffee cups also not supplied by default though you could ask for them from the concierge. Wish it could have been a better experience.

The room was great. Friendly staff, clean and public transport close by.

Traveller for business for three nights, everything fine. They did seem to only have one person for bar and checkin which caused it to be slow Other than that all ok

Excellent staff, great location, close to underground trains, very clean rooms with great beds, linens, well stocked and serviced. Staff were happy to help us with anything we needed. Highly recommended, will stay again in this great city :)

Positives: Excellent, helpful, welcoming reception staff. We arrived three hours before check-in time, expecting to have to leave our luggage and come back later but the gentleman ( dark hair, glasses), on duty did his best too find us rooms that were ready - which he did. He then, without being asked (not always the case in hotels), provided us with very useful local transport and restaurant information.His colleagues, Herr Malte in the bar and Herr Anton on the desk, were likewise excellent at making us feel at home. Breakfast room manager and staff - excellent customer service. Lounge-bar and breakfast room comfortable and inviting. The breakfast buffet - Excellent Beds very comfortable - both soft and firm pillows provided. Soundproofing against both traffic noise and noise from other rooms excellent. Improvements needed: Standard double rooms - very cramped, only suitable for single occupancy Insufficient, badly designed hanging space for clothes. No storage space. Hand basin the room situated directly by the door - difficult when two people in the room. Bathroom cramped -shower tray leaked on to floor, trickling into room (design fault) - reported it and were immediately offered a room change but not worth it for one night. Room superficially clean but needed deep clean - especially bathrooms (drain smell in one of the two rooms we had - noticed this on using shower on last night of stay). Suggest housekeeper is more thorough in checking cleaning standards.

Good location near the underground station and to many eating establishments. Modern spacious rooms.

Rooms were tasteful contemporary design, well laid out, comfortable furniture. Closet was large enough with enough hangers and a place for tall items. Lobby was comfortable and inviting with a bar and even a small overflow seating area with a library. Staff were friendly and helpful. Cozy and inviting, I'd definitely stay at this property again.

Super small room and bathroom at relatively high price. Motel One has better price-quality-ratio.

Excellent location to public transportation (subway). very comfortable beds. Good breakfast buffet. Very kind staff.
