Hyatt Regency Cologne

The rooms were not very clean ... we couldnt use the pool because we had to book it in advance but it’s not mentioned anywhere on its pagethat we needed to do so....we went there to use the pool only. Overall it’s a run down Hyatt ...i wouldnt recommend it at all.

I haven’t stayed in a 5* hotel before and wanted to really treat ourselves on a short trip away. Even using our free hotels.com night, this hotel didn’t seem worth the money and based on this experience, we wouldn’t bother booking again. The location couldn’t be faulted and the entrance was grand, but once you got away from the entrance the hotel didn’t feel special. The rooms were no bigger or better furnished than many 3/4* hotels I have stayed in and the toiletries were not Milton Brown as advertised. We couldn’t adjust the air conditioning and were disappointed by the very limited TV channels available. We had issues with the WiFi, which was unreliable, and whilst the sauna and steam room were nice, the pool area felt grubby and in need of a revamp. If you like soft beds, this hotel would be a good option for you, but not so great if you prefer a firmer mattress. All in all, we enjoyed the hotel we stayed in near Cologne airport more and as you may imagine, that one was significantly cheaper.

Beautiful location and great staff but personally I think the rooms need an upgrade. They are outdated. But my particular rooms were huge which made up for it a bit...

Loved the whole experience, cant praise it enough. Dominic and tho in legends bar were excellent. Will definitely be returning

Beautiful hotel in an amazing location. 5 minutes from the train station and nice views of the river.
