Red Roof Inn Chicago - Downers Grove

Room was still dirty. There was cigarettes on the floor and in the bathroom.

The AC and one of the bedlights did not work. Thankfully fall weather just kicked in and didn't really need the AC, but could have used the heater a bit, which is the same unit.

This was a horrible one night stay. The toilet making noise all night long and couldn’t sleep. Called front desk they sent up someone to fix it, but I was told that he was out of the part, but would try to see if he could buy one. I requested to be moved to another room and he told me that he doubted if they would switch me just for that. I called back down to the front desk and spoke with a lady, I told her it wasn’t fixed, she told me that the maintenance guy told her it was. Again, I told her it wasn’t and I wanted to be moved. She told me that she couldn’t and she had to contact her boss to see if she would and would get back to me. I never heard anything else from her or anyone else. I will be contacting corporate.

Check in was easy, and a bed is a bed. Bathroom door didnt close all the way but i was by myself.

It was fine. The rooms were OK. Beds weren't very comfortable. TV didn't work. Very noisy all night long and there were plenty of people smoking in the rooms beside us even though it was supposed to be smoke-free.

The length of time it took to check in was almost 20 minutes. They don't bring you clean towels; you have to go downstairs to the maids and swap your towels. There's a host of problems with this location.

The new hire has a nasty attitude. Her delivery lacks substance; I'd say she is not authentic in her position. Ultimately, she has no depth. She is African American and isn't sincere or kind.

The stay was nice. I don’t Ike to complain but the room wasn’t cleaned. There was a wet towel in the shower and hair on the floor and pillow. I called and told the front desk. Left the room and came back later and it was still not cleaned and the wet towel and hair was still there with a nat that wouldn’t go away
