Red Roof Inn Detroit - Farmington Hills

Originally room was unclean upon arrival, and checked in an hour late giving ample time. Very dirty and unkept grounds, dog poop and cigarrette butts everwhere. Pot holes all over parking lot.

The floors were dirty and i could see mouse poop. Beds were OK and clean. I don't think the bath tub had been cleaned recently unless it was stained but I don't understand why there is toothpaste all over the bathroom door that no one seems to feel the need to remove.

I was staying here because I am in between homes. I had an incident with my bank account & didn’t have the funds to pay for my room for the night by the 11 am check out time. I had communicated that with staff. Sophia was willing to work with me to give me more time. The general manager & Hanna had other plans. Once I got the money for the room, I had found out they sold my room. The general manager wouldn’t work with me, he was yelling at me & threatened to throw my things over the balcony. I tired to talk to staff to get time to move my things out seeing as how I had all my stuff with me and I had my 9 year old with me and my puppies. The general manager refused to listen & continued yelling & threatened to call the police & did call the police. Which was a waste because I explained to the cops what happened & they were sympathetic & gave me time to move my things out. When I tried to talk to Hanna she fanned me away like a fly and turned her nose up. I could’ve got real nasty & yelled at them but I kept my cool & talked with cops rather than talking to these unprofessional rude staff. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL EVER IN LIFE. They are horrible & rude & unprofessional

Red Roof Inn —Dump of Farmington Hills Michigan

1. I had to return to the front desk multiple (5-7) times to have the key replaced. According to the front desk clerk this was due to the cold weather and I just have to deal with it..totally unacceptable 2. As mentioned the broken bed issue. (see picture below) 3. The next day (Sunday) I made a new reservation and the front desk put me in a handicapped room. I’m not handicapped …why was I put in a room like this? Additional the room had no hair dryer and it should have… not to mention issues with the shower itself . (The shower was not a biggy…but still an inconvenience because it wasn’t a tub with a traditional shower ) 4. The front desk clerk(female) was very rude and really was not attentive. The 1st day during my check in she was on her Bluetooth having a side conversation with someone on her personal phone ..instead of focusing on me (the customer) She was discussing syncing up her schedule with some guy or someone (but why don I even know this information about her personal call??)This was also the same clerk that replaced my keys repeatedly. Additionally .. I made a simple request for cups in my room on Sunday night (I had a ice bucket but no cups) After asking the same rude clerk for cups… I had to wait 5 minutes and she only gave me 2 coffee cups when I asked for additional cups. …She said “I can only give you 2 cups.” I’m sure she could have provided more cups..she was just being rude again.. Room needs update. Weather seal missing from door causing draft. Shower head is leaking at connection and no drain screen in shower. One of the two beds was broken and mattress not good.
