Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Phenix City - Columbus, an IHG Hotel

Very nice place to stay. Very clean.

Economical clean shotty staff...not always present at front desk..

Hotel was nice and clean very convenient to several restaurants Beds were comfortable but the toilet ran all night so with that being said I didn’t rest well Other than that I would rebook with them

Very nice hotel, pleasant staff. Room comfortable and clean. Internet and television all top notch. Only negative is location, isolated without anything in walking distance and no vending with snacks.

Nice hotel overall. It's usually the opposite but the stairwells are in practically new condition while the elevators are very aged. I had a sink that didn't drain well. Other than that, the room was very clean, satellite TV worked great (clean controller!), staff was nice and gave me a breakfast to-go bag even though I was about 30 minutes passed the breakfast window (Bottled water, apple, huge muffin, and granola bar). Nothing within a mile of the hotel but a short 5 minute drive will get you to some fast food places and grocery stores.

The room was nice and clean. However the staff, Casey or Kasey or however she spells it in particular, was a nightmare. I had reserved 2 rooms and then canceled one within the allotted time frame. Showed up, got checked in and went on about my weekend. I noticed 2 charges for $25 and a full additional charge for $183. I went to the front desk and was told, upon check out all of those charges would fall off. Keep in mind I work for my bank. So I ask why there were 2 charges for $25, when we only got one room? The receptionist said it was because we used 2 different cards. Ok, seems legit. We check out and go home. Tuesday rolls around and BAM both charges for $183 CLEAR my account. So I call. That's when I get Casey. We discuss the matter and she proceeds to blame it on my bank. I explain I work there. She refuses to help so I ask for a manager, she claims to be the manager I said ok, what's your number to corporate....her response...."IT'S ON THE INTERNET GO FIND IT YOURSELF!" I said "No, ma'am you are going to give it to me." I get through to corporate. Turns out they did not check us in under the active reservation, they checked us in under a closed reservation. They took my husbands ID and checked us in under my name! Which exlains the 2 $25 charges. I was told it would be 48 hours for refund......it's been 3 days since then. Guess I have to call back.

Room was comfortable but housekeeping could do better at cleaning the bathroom. “Hair & black mold” Saw two roaches in the room one of which crawled on the bed while we were going to sleep....

Great experience! Very clean, & Erica was extremely helpful & friendly!!
