Sentinel

The staff are amazing, inspite of the challenges we face with covd they still stepped up and were outstanding.

We stayed for two days over a weekend. The Sentinel is in a good area downtown (as good as it can be for Portland these days). We stayed in an interior room on the 4th floor and it was absolutely silent. We did not hear anyone the whole time we were there. The hotel staff was great to work with and their txt service to engage the front desk was super convenient. Even when we were out we could contact them to have our car brought up so we didn't have to wait when we got back to the hotel. Their resturaunt was closed due to Covid but we ordered breakfast from a place down the street and got it in about 20 minutes. People are complaining in reviews about the $53 USD valet parking but for us it was a small price to pay to keep our car off the street with all the unrest going on down town right now. Plus all we had to do was drive up and drop off or txt to get our car. Super convenient. We will stay at the Sentinel again!

Great experience

Check in was easy, and I love the ability to text the front desk. The doorman was kind and helpful. The room is amazing! Stylish décor, clean, comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Fantastic water pressure in the shower. Love that they are pet friendly, as I traveled with my cat. I just wish the bed frame was one that didn't allow her to get under the bed to hide. The food from Jack's Grill was fantastic! Such nice staff all around.

My room was absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. I can’t wait to return.

There service was amazing from assisting with parking an oversized van, to accommodating our chocolate lab, they were friendly and quick and resourceful. Definitely recommend staying with them. The only down side I would caution on is The JackKnife food was less than impressive and not worth the money.

We stayed for only one night, but it was a fantastic relaxing stay. The staff at the Sentinel took wonderful care of us and we greatly appreciated the contactless checkin that still felt personal and warm. We will definitely be back!
