Surf City Hotel

Checked in and checked right back out. This place was so disgusting. Black mold in the showers. Stained carpets. Hairs on the sheets. I wouldn’t stay here if someone paid me. Do not waste your time.

Perfect access to outstanding Jersey shore beach

We had a very positive stay. The best feature is the closeness of a superb stretch of Jersey shore beach less than a block away. There was a great breakfast and lunch spot, Wally's a half block away that was perfect. The room was clean well kept , well appointed for a modest priced Jersey shore hotel

Cute hotel and a very convenient area. It's right next to the beach and in the middle of everything. Just know before you go to the beach, you have to go to the front desk to get beach passes. The room was small & cute. The bathtub could have been cleaned a little more. But overall a great experience and I would stay there again.

When we checked into our room we were not too pleased with a couple of issues that occurred and when we addressed them with the front office staff they took care of the issues in an extremely satisfactory manor. They were very professional and pleasant. Thank you!

Staff was disorganized - moved us to different room partway thru the stay, causing a lot of inconvenience. General manager had a chip on her shoulder, very unfriendly. Accommodations were meager and really outdated and dingy. Did not feel comfortable at all. Only one small lamp in the room - no other light. I ended up buying another lamp. I also bought power strips in order to have enough outlets. Really overpriced. I would never return to this place.

Great rate for beach and fun

Room and bathroom were clean. Closet was good for hanging clothes, keeping suitcase. Mini-frig kept our snacks, etc cold. Would have trade the big double-width dresser for a single-width (didn’t use) so hotel could put two chairs or a bench seat; no place to sit except the bed. The bistro food, drink, happy-hours were crowded but really good; used them every day. Easy walks to eateries, bagels/bakeries/coffee/ice cream; went to all.quick access to the beach with free badges and towels. We had our own chairs. We were out and about most of the days so the size room wasn’t an issue. I think they have larger rooms but we booked kind of late for peak beach weeks.

This hotel is a little out dated but very nice . Staff is friendly and in a great location . Definitely will stay again . So many different rooms and types . The 3 from floor suite was definitely outdated and that room a little disappointing . I reserved 2 rooms and the lower floor was great .
