Ibis Glasgow City Centre – Sauchiehall St

First room was horrific with the smell of sewage in the morning, which according to the staff was because it was raining and we were on the 6th floor. We were then changed to a twin room, which we think was a disabled room and the cleanliness of this room was awful. Crumbs, cobwebs and the red alarm pull cord was caked in dirt in the wet room which didn’t have an anti slip mat for the shower. Staff were very accommodating and the breakfast was lovely.

Breakfast Charge £15 per head!!

Booked hotel for Harry Styles at Ibrox. Didn't book breakfast as wasn't sure if we would have been up in time. However, got up went downstairs and asked about breakfast was taken to the Novotel?? Was charged £30 for 2 x breakfasts 1 x adult and 1 child. Totally unacceptable when they tell you on line breakfast is £9.95?? The guy that took the payment shoved the machine in front of me to pay whilst I was eating!!! Totally ruined our stay.. not very polite at all and far too expensive...beware!!

Really uncomfortable mattress

The only issue i had was trying to get to sleep on the hard mattress. this had a 50mm foam topper on it, and it was still really solid and very uncomfortable.

Good location

Good service, 24 hours bar was great, the irnbru in the room was a nice touch too. Pillows were a bit too hard for my preference, not the fault of the hotel. Toilet door doesn't shut properly, luckily I'm on my own so it wasn't a big issue. Kettle is too big or sink is too small. So you'll never be able to fill it full running the kettle under the sink. In the end I top it up using the glass. The staff may have made a mistake when issuing my keycard. It didn't work on the second day and I have to get it reissued. Other than that, great service from the staff. The location itself is amazing. The parking they partnered with isn't too far either.

Pleasantly surprised

First time we have stayed at an Ibis hotel and we loved it, shower is amazing, bed was so comfy only negative thing was they are building new flats in front of the hotel and it was a bit noisy early morning but this is out of their control so it doesn't reflect on the hotel.
