The Buccaneer Beach & Golf Resort, Trademark St.Croix USVI

The property at the Buccaneer is amazing! The rooms were spacious and clean, however, the property lacked the extra details that warrant its high price. Only two of it’s three restaurants were open and the menu was limited on nights. The staff was nice but service was very slow so bring some patience

It was a beautiful property overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Very picturesque and lovely. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was good but we had some difficulty since we eat plant-based Whole Foods. Some of the meals had different ingredients then it said on the menu. Almost every time we were told that one or two of the items available.

Had a lovely stay at the Buccaneer last week. Beautiful room, friendly staff, and good service. The beach is very special – it is small and quiet (no music allowed, thankfully!), but with plenty of room for everyone to have lounge chairs and shade under the umbrellas or palm trees. It has soft sand for walking and playing, and is shallow enough to play and float in. Perfect for those of us who don’t want to fight waves but just relax in the water. (The hotel has two other beaches as well, but we spent our time on the main beach.) Unfortunately, the food service was limited while we were there, due to Covid I think? We had one terrific dinner and one not as good. The breakfast buffet was fresh but did not have the variety we expect from a hotel like this. We were glad we had a rental car and had a couple fantastic meals off the property. Overall, the Buccaneer is a great place to stay, with all the amenities of a fine resort. For us, the peace and quiet was a big attraction. We heard loud music playing at another hotel pool and at some public beaches, which we would have disliked. I am giving it five stars because it was close to perfect, but I do hope the hotel will improve its breakfast offerings.

The property itself and the setting is beautiful. The up keep is very poor of the rooms which is a shame and defiantly not at $600 per room per night.

It had a lot of potential and was very nice. Our room did not have a view. Rooms were spacious and nice. A few facilities not open due to covid.

The property is beautiful in the breakfast in the morning with my favorite part with friendly staff. Issue was the front desk gentleman seem to be new and very poor at communicating. He just seems like it’s a bit of a cultural difference which I understand. If she was it didn’t seem like some of the staff was properly trained in customer service especially at the front desk. Long waits for the concierge so he didn’t even talk to her. I honestly don’t think I would return because of the staff to be honest with you. The Beachin areas wonderful

Beautiful setting with wonderful accommodations. The staff was especially welcoming, friendly, helpful, and polite. Beach was great. Breakfasts were nicely done. Especially liked the fresh fruit, oatmeal, muffins and coffee. Only had one dinner there which was excellent. The golf course was fun. Kenny was very helpful. The carts, however, were a bit dated. Tiny gripes in regard your question about eco friendliness - how about electric golf carts and a container for recyclables outside the guest rooms? We had a great visit and would definitely consider returning. Thank you for a memorable vacation.
