Let down

The woman that check me in was very friendly and kind. I was so exhausted when I arrived to the room I didn’t really check it out I just went to bed. I woke up with a long black curly hair in my mouth. Gross but ok. Go to the bathroom get in the shower, out of the shower drying off my face, ANOTHER long back curly hair in the towel. I am disgusted. I look down before I step out of the shower and notice ANOTHER one on the bath mat. I figure one of them has to be from before so I immediately go back to the bed and find the previous one. So 3 total. I have short, chin length blonde hair. It isn’t mine. You have a beautiful hotel. The bed was a dream, I slept great and I needed it. But the hair of whoever else was here previously or staff was bothersome to the entire experience. I travel frequently for my job and I usually pick a more upscale place so these things won’t happen. I was let down.

Great room but tall beds

Room seemed larger than usual as did the bathroom. Beds are too tall for us short people(5’2”). I had to buy a step stool, but the room was very nice with a recliner.

Some good things, some bad things...

This hotel was a mixture of good and bad issues, so I'll start with the good: 1) This seems to be a relatively new hotel, room and common areas seem very clean 2) Staff was very friendly 3) Not many people staying at the hotel, seemed pretty empty 4) Very comfortable beds 5) Very close proximity to the World Equestrian Center Now the bad issues: 1) No sign on the main road to enter into the hotel. At night I had to slow down to a crawl to figure out where the unlit entrance road was. 2) I was advised upon check-in that no room cleaning would be done unless we stayed more than 7 days, or if we requested it. When I requested another person later at the front desk to have our room cleaned after one night, they told me that that's not their policy and did not do it. 3) Unbelievably low water pressure in the showerhead - their solution at the front desk was to turn the water in the sink on at the same time, which did not work. 4) AC was blowing on our bed the entire night. The unit is 2 feet from the bed, and we ended up turning it off. The next night, we rigged a towel in front of it to deflect the flow downwards. 5) No channel guide on the TV or printed out anywhere -- channels were numbered strangely and were all over the place. Spent a lot of time with the channel up button. 6) Bottled soap and shampoo in the shower -- took forever to soap up and wash down with little water pressure Pretty average hotel in my opinion.

A/C too noisy to sleep

Very clean, nice rooms. Allows dogs. A/C unit was very loud clicking on and off all night every 30min or so making it impossible to sleep. Wifi was down. Grass hadn’t been mowed in a month or more looked awful. Lots of guests smoking by the doors with butts all over the ground.

Best One Yet

Softball tournament, this was cleaner than most of the hotels we get stuck in. It was a little noisy next to the interstate. Next time I will ask for the backside!

The hotel was very clean. Not only was our room clean, but it was also very comfortable. Downtown, restaurants, and fun things to do are all within reasonable distance. Definitely would stay again.

The Sunshine State Showed Southern Hospitality!

We had a very good stay! This was my first time staying in a Candlewood Suites Hotel so I was not sure what to expect, but I was very pleased. The room was modern. The beds were comfortable and the kitchenette was a plus. The front desk staff was very helpful. I would stay here again for future visits to the sunshine state.
