CrestHill Suites SUNY University Albany

The place was fine, the room was adequate. At 3:00 a.m. we were awaken by a disturbance in front of our door. There were people chasing other people and almost seemed like a fight outside our door. They must have gone back to their room. I called the front desk but there was no answer. Maybe the employee was dealing with the situation. It took awhile to fall back to sleep.

This was the absolute worst experience we have ever had at a hotel!! We checked in around 630pm Friday night and put our stuff in our room and then left for a few hours. When we came back around 930pm, our rooms keys wouldn’t work so we went down to the desk only to be told that our keys were too close to a cell phone and got wiped. Go back up to our room and my iPad that was sitting on the kitchen counter was now open and there was someone else’s stuff in our room!! Went back down to the desk and the girl at the desk apologized and “upgraded” our room and just said “whoops sorry, it’s the holiday can’t you just let things go and your iPad wasn’t stolen and they didn’t go through your stuff” when they clearly did. She had the biggest attitude ever and rolled her eyes at me when I said this was unacceptable. The upgraded room had chewed gum stuck to the nightstand. We talked with a new front desk woman (super nice) the next morning and she said the manager would call us, we are still waiting to hear from him. I have stayed here before and I’m from the area, but I would never stay here again. So upsetting.

The hotel is ok

Great stay room was cozy and clean breakfast needed help but other then that enjoy the stay and will stay again

The hotel is being renovated. There was Sheetrock dust everywhere in the hallways. Our room had a “sticky” feel. There was a lump of chewed gum on the headboard of one of the beds. One of the reasons I chose this hotel was guest laundry access. The dryer on our floor was out of order, so I had to haul laundry between floors to get it clean.
