Hilton Garden Inn Glasgow City Centre

An unexpected overnight stay in Glasgow brought us back here. We were delighted to see the measures that had been taken because of Covid. Special shout out to the Property manager Stuart, who has a great line in banter and made breakfast the highlight of the stay.

The hotel was brilliant in making us welcome, keeping us safe and feeding us well. Under present conditions wit the pandemic I was expecting something's to be packing but they were not. Ok, there was a more limited menu but there was plenty of choice for our 2 night stay, even with me being a vegetarian. The service in the restaurant was up to a very high standard. We were given the option of whether we wanted house keeping for our room. We opted out, the room can't get that bad over the 2 nights. My only problem was the bathroom. We had a wheelchair shower accessible room but found it not to be so user friendly as I had hoped. I know that it does depend on your disability so I have not knocked a star off for this, but beware the floor is slippery and the 'wet room' part of the shower had a lip round it, the towel rack is a long way from the shower so you can't just reach across to get a towel. As I say, just niggly things but if I was staying any longer they could have become a problem. Also, and this seems to be in common with all hotels, why can't they have an accessible room with twin beds? I acknowledge there is the space issue but surely just a couple of rooms could be made larger!

Hotel was excellent. The attention to detail re Covid was superb. The cutlery came in a sealed bag together with your napkin. River view room was nice. Overall hotel a very good choice.

Good location, easy parking, staff very helpful, covid-friendly, great brekky - would definitley stay here again.

Hotel was clean and had reasonably good COVID-19 procedures in place. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the room was very comfortable with very little outside noise. Just a little noise from neibouring rooms but otherwise a good stay.

Clean room reasonable quiet, if you have a river view i would recommend being as high up as possible due yo traffic & the bar seating area could be noisy when the weather is good, breakfast was good with lot's of choices. Could have done with some more tea coffee was a very imited amount 4 x coffee 4 x tea bags, we stayed for three days would have been nice to have had the bin emptied & the towels changed while staying, the carpark was free at the time but normally you have to pay which i think for anyone staying at the hotel it should always be, price wise a bit on the expensive side, reception & bar staff all very welcoming

Fantastic hotel, with pleasant and professional staff.

Could do with a refresh, definitely not to the normal Hilton standards. Staff very friendly and helpful.
