The Royal Sea Aquarium Resort

Ocean front/view rooms with kitchens. 2 great pools, one is gradual entry, hot tub and great beach area. Property is small which is perfect with kids. Other guests and staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. The restaurant attached to the resort is also very delicious. Mambo beach is also very close and an easy walk away.

I need to start with a couple of quick shout outs. Expedia! Thank you for offering VIP properties with great benefits like free room upgrade! Natalie! Thank you for taking the initiative to help us get that room upgrade! More on that later. Blanca! Thank you for showing us so much love and compassion, all the while, making sure we and other patrons at the onsite restaurant were well taken care of and felt welcome! On to the review. The resort is close enough to Willemstad for a quick visit but far enough away to feel, literally, like you are on your own private island with water completely surrounding the area with the resort and aquarium. There are one lane bridges connecting the resort to the main land. Convenient, short walk to a couple of restaurants and marina where several snorkel, scuba, and party boat tours appear to leave from. The resort makes it clear "they are not a hotel" and appear to have timeshares there. All that this really meant as far as we were concerned was no provided shampoo, body wash in shower was, and no room service. Other than that they seemed to be full service, had onsite security, and kept the property very well maintained. i booked a Jr Suite. I would not do that again. Pay a little more or hope to get the Expedia, VIP FREE room upgrade. The Jr Suite was small, not well lit, and had a tiny balcony. The 1 Bedroom Suite, fabulous and very spacious! Snorkeling was great! Would recommend!

Resort location is great, love the beach and surrounding areas. Nice Front desk staff and the Venezuelan lady at the restaurant, she’s awesome!! They have all you need so you can feel confortable, cooler, snorkel kit, electrical Cel adapter. Hotel is a little bit outdated.

Good I guess.

Nice location, beach and pool are nice. Nonetheless service in general wasn't good. Restaurant was closed, the only place for food didn't have enough tables and most of the time during my stay and during breakfast wet because of rain. Parking lot kind of far from the hotel, and no transportation from there to Hotel facilities.

Location can't be beat! Loved being on the island surrounded by beautiful beaches, amazing views and having the sea aquarium next door an added bonus. The staff was so friendly and provided great service for anything needed. Beautiful resort, a bit older but meticulously maintained. Nothing better than waking up and having an amazing view from your balcony. The bed was very comfortable and we always had a great, very quiet, night's sleep. Best of both worlds, close to all the action on Mambo Blvd but the resort was always peaceful and never crowded. Loved the pool area and the private beach had an amazing view.

the location is great. very short drive to downtown and beautiful beach right at the resort. staff was very friendly and did a great job. the resort could use some updating with furnishings but everything else at the resort more than makes up for it. the only thing i think could make a big difference is a little golf cart or something to get you from parking lot to resort. it is a long walk.

We like how spacious the room was. The pools and the beach were also nice. Good snorkeling around. The bathroom needs improvement, the tub was leaking and would make a huge mess! The little cantina on the premises have very little options. You’ll have to either eat out or cook in your room. Other than that we had a good time. Staff is really friendly!
