La Misión de Fray Diego

We couldn’t sleep for the noice of very old air conditioner. The place ir dirty, room doesn’t have enough outlets to charge 3 phones and a laptop. Front desk clerk were very told when we ask to change our room because all the inconvenience, even when we were the only guess at the hotel. We change hotel next day in the morning, the parking garage is two blocks from the hotel. Ruin our vacation. Will not recommend to anyone

A peaceful and comfortable respite from the busy streets of Mérida. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The traditional rooms are delightful and the pool is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the sun. Our family of five adults greatly enjoyed this setting. Highly recommend it.

Property was stunning. The pictures online don’t do it justice. The staff was helpful and kind.

We like very much the staff, the property, the pleasant surroundingd and the location. However the idea that this Fray Diego was actively involved in destroying the Maya culture was very disturbing. Yes it is part of history, but perhaps you should erase that info from the entrance. I had know it I would not have stayed in this hotel.

This charming boutique hotel is also in a great location: two blocks from the main square in Merida. It has the feel of old Mexico with a tropical front courtyard and pool in the back courtyard. Our junior suite was spacious with 12-ft ceilings and a very comfortable king bed. The valet service was prompt and gracious. The whole staff was friendly and helpful. Some minor downsides: the breakfast was only mediocre; there was a good bit of street noise (which was not bad in the back courtyard); and the hot water pressure was unreliable. All told, though, a pleasant stay.

Muy bien ubicado, cerca del centro, del barrio de Santa Lucía, De Santiago, etc. El restaurante con muy buena comida y muy buen servicio el de don José y don Florentino.
