Mountain View Inn

Simple clean room! Was just right for my stay!

This hotel is exceptionally clean and comfortable. And for the money (we only paid $59) it’s a steal. They have extra pillows on the comfortable bed and the rooms have a Mountain View (both sides) that are second to none. As I told the reception, “if I could give you guys an 11 out of 10, I would”.

I'm relieved I wasn't charged a pet fee for all the ants in my room, however the bed was pretty comfortable. Upon showing the hotel concierge that there were ants in the room, I was told its a common problem - no compensation or apology for the inconvenience. I can only imagine the remainder of the rooms are cleaned to the same standard and 9/10 guests are leaving with ants in their pants. Will not stay here again nor do I recommend this place to anyone.

Nothing personal here but when a guest walks into a hotel, they should be expected to be greeted with a smile, a great attitude or some semblance of seeming like they are pleased to see paying guests stay at their facility. We received none of these and it really is the least someone working in hospitality should do. I'm not saying not to go there. Really, go there, it's a clean and comfortable place close to downtown Canmore. You pay for a clean room, you get one so yes, that's great. Just don't let your experience at the counter ruin it for you. I'd go back for sure. :-)

The cleanliness was awful the expectations are that the customer cleans there own room after the stay and we actually did and as we were wiping down surfaces we hadn’t even touched we realized how disgusting the room actually was we left feeling very put off by the experience

I think cleanliness was the best it can be considering it could use a renovation. I am not fond of carpets and the ones here seem to have permanent stains. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. Checking in and out was quick and easy. We did have view of one mountain past the building next door. Expect very basic amenities.

This was a clean hotel that met our expectations. There was no coffee in the room or lobby was our biggest disappointment..and the room is dated..but clean!. Would definatly recommend!

Very clean older building. Two floors no elevator. Great location.

This hotel is very basic, but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. It was very satisfactory for the price, I would stay here again.

Quite and relaxing place. Enjoyed the stay there, food and coffee shops at a walking distance. Loved it.
