Confirmation from Hotels.com clearly states breakfast is included for 2 people. There was no breakfast available to us or to any guests at the hotel who we met The breakfast room includes a single coffee machine. Our shower handle was broken - as was the case in the room booked and occupied by Linda Fisher, my cousin. The only staff in evidence were two relatively young women who were clearly new. We expect a partial refund!!!!

The floor I was put on was basically subterranean and had a very musty smell. It was also quite dark in the hallway. The carpets in the hallways were dirty and torn. Many other parts of the hotel were lovely. My room seemed to be missing furniture and the lighting on the desk area was missing lightbulbs. I loved the grounds and the overall look of the mansion. This place could be incredible with a whole lot of updating.

My room was infested with ants and also there was massive water damage as the walls were peeling off. An expensive mansion shouldn’t tell me that because I have a standard room I don’t deserve the proper cleanliness like the other rooms I saw that were in the same area not occupied. I was also having a rather delicious dinner aside from a personal affair and I suffer from hearing problems so my 200 dollar dinner was bagged to go. Oh and one last thing. I was told to leave the pool area because someone wanted the entire public pool area for their personal yoga lesson. This was a self treat turned into a highly frustrating time . Let’s do better people.

The room was just okay. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable. There was hair in the bathtub from previous guests. The indoor pool was freezing cold and the hot tub jets did not work. The breakfast was just a grab and go. This place is definitely overrated.

Almost all of the advertised amenities were closed down, there was hair in our sheeylts and an ant infestation in our room. It was a horror show & we will never go back!

Beautiful Mansion!Little run down looking in some areas outside.Told will be renovating again soon.Few rooms already done.Not much amenities fully available yet.Would recommend but keep the above in mind.

Nothing to do in winter

There are no slippers or bath robes.. hardly any amenities. No breakfast on weekdays, cant use in door pool, no restaurants.. so theres basically nothing to do here.. Other than that..nothing to complain about

Valentines ruined

Booked 2 nights for Valentine’s Day. Called ahead to confirm the spa, pool, and bar would be open and available, they said yes. Once we got there we came into the front entrance to find renovations being done on the bar, and the pool/spa closed for our entire stay. Nobody knows anything, every person has a different excuse. It was a beautiful spot but they did not offer the amenities that they promised on the website. We ended up canceling one of the nights and spent the morning of valentines in the car driving back to the city. If I needed a room with 0 amenities I wouldn’t have driven all the way to glen cove for it.
