Econo Lodge Lakeside

Room was prepaid and counter rep was trying to make me leave a $50 CASH deposit AND a CREDIT CARD deposit in case I damaged the room, she said like breaking a lamp. I was on a hunting trip and did not have the extra cash to leave nor the time in the morning to wait for you to inspect my room. With the attitudes I received I would not have trusted them to say I did no damage. I did not end up staying because I did not trust them. I felt scammed!

The hotel was across the street from Lake Superior, and a bike path along the water. It was also a perfect location just outside of town.

Loved that it is pet friendly. The view was awesome.

Receptionist was the nicest lady!!!! Quick in check-in process was great! Hotel is older and therefore a bit outdated. Own patio/balcony was great though! Two sinks one inside and one outside the bathroom, was super convenient. They allow pets for $10 (I'm sure pricing could change over time). The walls are pretty thick though soni only heard the dog on the balcony barking. We were sampling hotels for our wedding guests so we know what to reserve on that weekend for people. Stayed at the Hampton, and Ramada as well. Honestly Hampton was nicest but you are very much paying for that. And the Ramada was a major disappointment for being a Wyndham hotel.

The room was clean and the owner was really kind. Great place to stay when you are in the area.

Room was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.
