Leon was a most helpful and friendly employee. He is very hard working and really tries to please the guests. The breakfast and evening wine reception were a nice format for socializing.

Helpful staff with great information on where to eat etc. Lovely drinks and nibbles in the evening with other guests. Delicious breakfast. Central location for walking to meetings and tourist sites

This is a very special hotel, a quaint Victorian inn, in a quiet area, but just blocks from Union Square. Like any quaint old hotel, it is a bit quirky. The elevator is old fashion-- but works well. the front desk is one person, but a very nice helpful person. The breakfast was a very pleasant surprise-- two kinds of eggs, great pastries, fresh oatmeal and orange juice etc. There is a cute little garden if you want to enjoy coffee outdoors. We loved this place and will return.

The room was clean and nicely appointed. some of the furniture was dated but functional. The included a light breakfast with the deal we got as well as free Water and soft drinks which were located in the downstairs floor of the hotel. Every night they had a light snack and wine from 5-7pm I believe which was nice. My only big complaint was that the rooms were very warm with no way to get them cool. I did not see any ac vents so I assume there was no ac. Not a great problem as we went in October. My wife and I are both warm blooded so it was a little uncomfortable to sleep. If you have a lot of luggage there really is no bellman and the halls are very narrow so getting your bags too the room can be a challenge. All in all we don't spend much time in the room except to sleep and shower. The towels were great the bed comfortable and the price was very reasonable considering. Not a place to stay if you are expecting help from concierge. There were none. In fact there was hardly ever someone at the front desk. Most times you had to go next door to the sister property The Swan Inn to check in, check out or get your vehicle.

A small but lovely room with a bathroom was our home for two nights. The hotel is located in a safe spot, the breakfast we yummy, and the bed comfortable. There was no air conditioning but we did not need it.
