Over Rated for the cost.

The room was cold when we arrived, and it took a long time for the floor electric heater to warm up the room to be comfortable. There was not heat in the bathroom which had been recently remodeled. Unfortunately, using the bathroom was like using and out house. There was cold air coming into the room around the electrical outlet. We were surprised the breakfast was very sparce. There was no eggs, pancakes, or normal breakfast fixing we have been accustomed to in a hotel of the rating. One of the two beds made a gong kind of noise just to sit on it. We were fortunate that we didn't have to use it.

Excellent stay in a beautiful town at a reasonable price, definitely recommend for a more affordable stay in Carmel.

Good stay close to downtown

It was a good stay! Loved the location and being so close to downtown Carmel. The walls weren’t super sound proof so we did hear conversations at times. But other than that it was great. Service was really nice and helpful.

Bathtub with hairs, sink dirty from toothpaste spit, the floors was not clean. And no towels in the room. Free breakfast was poor quality.

Basic

Very Basic, ready for a remodel. Way too much furniture in the room, no really room to put bags or maneuver. We had to put luggage rack infront of the door. No elevator to 2nd floor, which worked for us, but sure would be tough for many. Decent price though if just driving trough Carmel and grabbing dinner and sleep which we were. Bathrooms need work.

Love Carmel and great location. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. Most Carmel hotels are pricey, but little upset that the second bed (fold out) was in disrepair. Really should have been replaced or advertised as a two person occupancy

Location only

This is all about the location. Do not stay here if you are looking for comfort, towels or hot water. The “remodel” is very poorly done with cracks under the door allowing cold air into the room with no xtra blankets and cold lament floors. Great location but very over priced for the accommodations.

A missed opportunity

:The "Buffet Breakfast" is NOT true. it's a pretty sad "grab and go". I am mostly upset because of the false advertising. I cancelled another place because they were advertising this as a perk. There were also some ants in the room and it is pretty run down. So dusty we had to actually clean everything ourselves. The safe did NOT work and we had to have the service come and fix it ( another reason why we chose this hotel was for the safe and the wifi as I had to work a day from the room) The rug had stains, the paint or wall paper was dirty as were the light fixtures. No sound proofing at all.!!! The first days were only calm because there was NO people, once they started to arrive you could hear ALL sounds from every room ,all steps from the hallways. Housekeeping is NOT daily with an untrue excuse that it's due to Covid , which they later admitted was actually to reduce costs. On day #1 when the man was telling use that " due to Covid" they did not have daily room service, he was actually showing use to the room WITHOUT a mask. AS a matter of fact, we NEVER saw him with a mask. The cleaning personnel are LOVELY and overworked! They need more people for so many rooms !! They building filled up and they had so few staff. This should be looked in to! The WIFI did NOT work at night one night. This place has such a great location, it is really a Missed opportunity!
