Sol Ipanema Hotel

My experience at this hotel was very good. The staff were accommodating, the room was clean, and the food was delicious! I would definitely come back!

Great views from room! Easy access to beach and restaurants

Very nice hotel and very clean and quiet. The beds were so comfortable. The air con was powerful and cold. I lived the shower. The elevators are very slow though. They secured a driver for us for sight seeing. Jose Carlos was amazing!

the most I liked was the proximity to the beach, the roof top area with the pool is expectacular ( it is an area to pass a lot of time there ), and the restaurant with big glass windows looking into the beach.

I love the location, breakfast/restaurant, and rooftop of this hotel. The pool and chairs on the terrace are very nice and the bar also provides great drinks.

Anybody wanting to stay at this hotel should think again. Just a few of the highlights from my six nights stay at the hotel: two elevators that are used by guests and all of the cleaning staff, meaning it's at least a 10 minute wait each time you use the elevator and then you are riding it packed with maids, mechanics, etc - not exactly a good experience; very outdated rooms, dirty hallway carpets, chairs that should have been replaced years ago; no English tv and advised BBC was available but nobody could tell me on what channel; breakfast is horrible and very limited - I found hair in my scrambled eggs...not once greeted at the restaurant; overall very unfriendly and indifferent; internet connection beyond weak and not always working; dirty and stained towels; it's not a pool on the rooftop - it is the size of a jacuzzi; the hotel is old and smelly. The only good thing is the location. Overall, a horrible experience - this is NOT a 4 star hotel...not even close and beyond overpriced. BEWARE.

Beachfront hotel with unbeatable views and a very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is quite good, served in the beachfront restaurant. The pool is small but just enough for the memorable photos.

The view was fantastic. The breakfast terrific. The service excellent. Access to the beach wonderful.

A well-located hotel on Ipanema Beach. The avenue in front creates a lot of noise if you are staying in a beach-facing room. The breakfast is wonderful and the rooftop deck is small as well as the pool but

This was one of the best hotel’s my gf and I have stayed at. The breakfast, amenities and staff were all excellent. The location could not have been better from our perspective as we were able to enjoy the incredible views and water of ipanema beach along with all of the nearby restaurants which were only a short walking distance away. If you’re from New York you’ll essentially have all of the comforts from home the amazing weather, beaches, and incredible views that Rio has to offer. I plan on staying here again in the future as it was without a doubt the best hotel choice we could have made.
