Grand Park Royal Cancun - All Inclusive

Our stay exceeded all expectations! We were only there for a short time but loved every minute of our stay. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to have a getaway during the pandemic! Felt perfectly safe and relaxed which is all we could've asked for... VIP service the whole time as well which made all of the difference!

The property and amenities were awesome! The only thing we didn’t like was the front staff was very persistent about selling us the loyalty program. When we told them no they continues to ask us when they would see us in the hall and they even called our room asking us to please meet. It became a little uncomfortable.

A few things we would have liked to know before our trip: There is a dress code for the restaurants. Men have to wear LONG pants and closed toed shoes... not something you typically pack for a beach resort vacation so be prepared! You can only make reservations for dinner or spa services between 11-5 during the day so if you have any activities planned, be aware of this. Upon check in, you will be pulled into the bar area and pitched on their "time shares" asking you to sit with them over breakfast and hear their pitch to receive special promotions for your stay. It makes the check in process quite lengthy and uncomfortable! Order the Jugo Verde at breakfast! They also love handing out shots during dinner - Scooby snacks seemed to be a favorite. Scan the menu at the Cassis bar for some delicious drink combos for your stay so you aren't just stuck drinking beer or margaritas. Portions at The Oriental were VERY small so I would suggest ordering an extra plate to share or at least ALL of the appetizers. (we ended up going to the buffet after dinner we were still that hungry) You have to ask for salt, pepper, sauce, syrup, sugar or cream at breakfast. We went 3 days in a row before we knew they actually had syrup for the pancakes. Staff were all very hard working and friendly and overall the stay was enjoyable for the price.

We always stay at this hotel. Twice a year. Staff is always very friendly and hotel is always VERY clean. We always upgrade to the Royal Tower. Management really needs to put some money into the air conditioning and hot water in the royal tower. The Air conditioning does not work very well. This really needs to be worked on. Upgrading to the Royal Tower costs quite a bit more and therefore it should be expected to have working air conditioning.

Grand park royal was amazing. We felt very safe (physically and Covid related). The hotel has taken many precautions and staff and guests wore masks. We had an ocean view. The view was amazing. Definitely worth the small price increase. The restaurants were excellent. The steak house and the juice bar were not open. I imagine that was due to Covid. We had the option of buffet three meals a day, a nice served breakfast, a nice served seafood lunch and dinner choices of Asian, Italian and Mexican. We only ate at the buffet our first evening. There was also a poolside snack bar with hot dogs and nachos. We did not eat there. The coffee bar had coffee, pastries, ice cream, sandwiches, fruit and bottled water. The food was excellent!! The staff was VERY friendly and helpful. The property has A LOT of beach access...more than other hotels we saw when we walked the beach. We will definitely stay here again.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! We were giving a room with no thermostat and no running hot water... 1st night there my phone was stolen while we were on the pool. The staff was cleaning and no one else was there they claimed to not see anything. And that the camera did not reach the pool area for a 4star hotel I definitely did not expect this all restaurants were closed and you have to make a reservation. The only place to eat is the buffet usbaldo the manager was trying to make things better but the morning manager was rude. We checked out and went to the oasis glad we left it was amazing.. not worth the price. Horrible experience and what a way to celebrate my birthday.

Hotel room was very nice and view of ocean was unobstructed. Front desk didn't have change for dollars smaller than $20 which was a minor inconvenience. Additionally, we ordered drinks to the room over the phone and never received them. We called twice to the bar and even walked to the bar once to ask for the drinks and were told repeatedly the drinks are on the way.

I love the location, the beach was beautiful and the resort was beautiful, the only bad thing would be the food at the buffet was terrible and very few options. The beds were not very comfortable. But other than that it was clean, friendly and the oriental restaurant was the best . Everything closes early.

The place is nice the room was super, however when you come in they offer to schedule a presentation to sell you something like timeshare, we agreed because they said it would take 90 minutes but they had us there for 3 hours!!!! Don’t ever ever ever accept to their presentations!!!
