Very close to the park but NO free wifi

Very convenient as close to the park entrance but staff is not the nicest. We stayed three nights and we had to specifically request to have our room done at least once. There is free parking. WiFi is provided by a third part company at 10$ per 24hours, incredibly annoying in 2022, but they rely on the fact there is no cell phone reception at all and clearly everyone has to buy it. There are two restaurants: pizza place is fine, we didn't try the other one and there was no menu outside so we don't have any idea if it's expensive or cheap

Could Use Some Updates

Check in was hassle-free. Rooms were not being serviced in any way due to COVID restrictions. Room for 4 was only stocked with 2 towels. Carpets were stained. Bed was worn out. Ground-floor patio was a beautiful view of the Merced river. Kitchen in room was helpful for preparing food post-Yosemite visit. Shower was hot and room was quiet. Very close and convenient to Yosemite on HWY 140.

The first room they gave us had strong smell of carpet cleaning chemicals and we had to change room. The room was right next to the river and view was amazing.

Best Bang for you Buck <20min from Yosemite Valley

Hotel is very comfortable, and the riverside rooms are excellent with a balcony facing the Merced. Parking become hard to find on Saturday, but was fine for the rest of the stay. WiFi is a downside, it's $10/day for 2-devices so make sure you budget for that. The on-site pizza place and bar are very nice to have, and the little gift shop/convenience store is great. As far as I know this is the place to stay that isn't too expensive and is still less than 20 minutes from Yosemite Valley. I will definitely be staying here again in the future!

Stayed here for our visit to Yosemite. Only about 25-40 minute drive to the park. Very clean and comfortable rooms

Great place to stay.

We were as close to Yosemite National Park as possible without actually being in the Park. The hotel stay was pleasant and comfortable. The staff, especially the restaurant staff, was really, really nice.

Don’t buy their WiFi — a total waste!

While the rooms were large and comfortable and with even a mini full kitchen, this hotel is closer to a 2.5 than a 3 star for other reasons. My biggest issue with the Yosemite Lodge is the lack of WiFi. They sold me the add on service and I paid an outside vendor $10 for a service that made the old dial up look like high speed. It was a total waste of money. There is no technical reason for the hotel to not provide better service especially considering their high rates. While the hotel is nicely located near Yosemite entrance it also lacks the safety features of tub grab bars. Could have had a suit case rack and a clock.

Great stay!

Great location close to the park. The room was large. The kitchen was great. The hot tubs were nice. Staff was very kind! The facilities are older, and showing signs of wear, but everything was clean and in good working order. Rooms are very quiet!

Location is good. That is about it.

Location is good. Room was okay - very dusty behind TV and cabinets. Staff weren't interested in customers at all. The attitude was like "we don't need you as we get sold out anyways." For the rates they charge, the service definitely has room to improve.

Good location, but they need to invest in repairs

The restaurant was really good. All the staff were very nice and accommodating. The room had some things in poor condition. The railing on the outside balcony above the river was detached on one side and only held on by the gutter downspout. The fireplace only lit up in one place and leaked gas heavily enough you could smell it in the room. The room also smelled very strongly of old cigarette smoke or body odor or something.
