Super 8 by Wyndham San Diego Hotel Circle

The former breakfast area was closed. The only "breakfast" was coffee, tea and muffins, that were on a counter in the office. There were no tables. You could take the breakfast to your room, eat in the office standing up where you could put your coffee cup on the counter, or eat in the office sitting on a couch and hold your coffee in one hand and the muffin in the other.

New deposit policy

I wasn't aware the deposit policy had changed since my last stay. It changed in the last 2 weeks and the front desk clerk was very nice and patient with explaining the new policy to me as I was getting frustrated and feeling as if I deserved to have a break since I didn't know about the change. But because she was polite and very informative I paid the deposit and calmed down because I understand it's not her personally making the change for me only. But she was very nice.

Not horrible

The stay was fine. The room was nice. But in the bathroom you could smell other people smoking marijuana through the vent or through the walls. There was a security guard on site in the parking lot just sitting there, but didn’t do anything about an obnoxious man pushing around a stack of speakers in a cart while blasting his music so loud we couldn’t even sleep. He was walking up and down the halls and since there was an elevator, he could go to each floor and blast music by people’s room doors. The phone in the room also didn’t work. All there was is a crackling sound. Other than that stuff, like I said - the room was very nice

Never staying here again

This was the worse hotel I've ever stayed at. The system was down when we first got there to check in. So we had to walk 5 hotels over to get to the nearest diner. When we did check in, I was under the impression that breakfast would be a full on sit down breakfast deal, but the guy said 7-9am and it was only a pastry and coffee. I had my daughter with me so i only fed her the pastry and had to go somewhere else to get breakfast. It was disgusting everywhere I turned. From the fall apart elevator, to the laundromat area, to the room. It's a good thing i brought my own cleaning supplies or else I would've just canceled my stay. It was dirty and unsanitary on the furniture and fixtures/ appliances. The laundromat was too gross AND they don't supply quarters to use for the machines. I washed my clothes in the room and dried them in their dryer downstairs because I didn't want to turn on the air vent. The only good thing about this stay was that the employees were nice. This location needs some major upgrades and room service everyday. When we came back that night, nobody came to the room to give us clean sheets or take out the trash.

This was the worse experience I ever had in any hotel In the US or any other country I have travel to and I’m a very experienced traveler. It was dirty the room smell like an ashtray. Very noise, some very questionable guest dancing and working out in the parking area playing very weird loud music. No Disrespect I felt I was in a gang Neighborhood. This is Mission Valley which is a very decent Neighborhood. A few Police car drove by a few Ultimately I felt unsafe and left and a few other guess did the same. For the price was a Ripped off $160 It’s an outrage do your self a favor stay away from this miserable place.

A truly tired and run down building. Clerk’s sucked is the best way to describe them. Room was in need of maintenance and upkeep, holes in doors and floors, trim and paint missing, shower had mold and rust. Shower stoped full flow within a minute. Over all terrible experience.

Black mold in the bathrooms, dirty, stained towels with hair stuck in them. Broken AC, no intercontinental breakfast, that was promised on the hotel website and Expedia. Vending machines would not take any cash only quarters. Had an option for credit card but the system was down. And more than half the vending machine options were not even available. Broken furniture and burn marks in the sheets and on the chair. Worst place I’ve ever experienced.
