The quiet location near the beach, the upgraded reception and lounge area. The sun loungers are ready for renewing and could do with a few more English TV Chanels but overall a lovely stay or 2nd tone there,

Many things in the room didnt work. The receptionist in the evening was very professional and welcoming but the staff in the morning had a very bad attitude.

This property had everything we needed for a great stay for a few days. Situated and two minute walk to the beach, and five-ten minute easy walk to restaurants. The rooms are definitely a little dated, but they have everything you will need, kitchen, fridge freezer, washing machine, tv etc. We loved that we could walk to the beach for a bit and then come back to the peace and quiet of the pool. We were there in the middle of the peak summer season and for a fair bit of the day, we were the only ones by the pool, which meant a pool lounge and palm tree for each of us! Reception were friendly and helpful, and booked us an airport transfer for our final day which turned up on time. It was €35 for two adults, two kids to the airport. We would happily stay here again as the beaches and beach restaurants are very family friendly.

One night stopover

Stayed for one night, upon checking in they allowed us to use the pool. Decent sized apartment, overall a pleasant stay.

Favourite autumn escape

We just had 2 weeks in the autumn sunshine, peaceful, end of tourist time. Location is very out of the way from the main area so perfect for a peaceful break

Home for a while

It was about 20minutes walk to the super markets and the village of Vilamoura . Although transport was available I liked the walk. The locals an the staff were very friendly which was a bonus. You can get a bus to Faro for about €3 which was a pleasant trip.

Review of Clube Maria Luisa

The apartments are spacious however the furniture and fittings are very dated and need upgrading. It is very close to the beach and 10 or 15 minutes from restaurants and shops. The main issue with our holiday was the poor customer service from EXPEDIA. We had booked 2 apartments for 7 nights which was confirmed by e-mail in June 2015. On Monday 10 August 2015, 3 days before we were due to travel, Expedia sent an e-mail saying that the apartment reserved for my daughters could not be honoured and that they would have to stay in a hotel, 5 miles away, for 2 nights. When I phoned Expedia to find out why I was told neither apartment could be honoured and that all 4 of us would have to stay in the hotel 5 miles away for 2 nights. This was unacceptable as we had family members staying at Clube Maria Luisa. Despite spending over 2 hours on the phone to Expedia in the US at my expense, this could not be resolved. When we arrived at the hotel in Portugal they informed us that they had no reservation for us. They phoned Clube Maria Luisa and were informed that the apartments were now available for the 7 nights. When I spoke to the manager at Clube Maria Luisa to find out how this had happened I was informed that Club Maria Luisa had sent an e-mail to Expedia on Monday 10 August 2015 confirming that both apartments were now available for the 7 nights. I never received confirmation from Expedia of this e-mail. I spent over 2 hours on 2 separate phone calls to Expedia on Monday 10 August

Great place, fab beach, amazing people

The apart-hotel is great, cosy and quiet. It is close to the beach, 10 min walk from the shops and a bit outside Albufeira city centre. The staff is great and Ricardo recommended the best places to eat. We will go back!

Great base.

Not really a hotel, but a great base to travel from and return and relax just the same. It is a shame there is no longer a bar or restaurant. There are plenty of places close by but it was nice in the past to come back from a long drive and have a beer before getting changed for the evening.

Nice hotel, close to beach.

A quiet hotel, near to beach. 15 minute walk to nearest stores so taxi needed to transport heavy shopping, esp larger bottles of water. Staff very helpful
