Great Place!

The staff was great and very helpful. They are renovating but that wasn't an issue. Our room looked band new. Great place to stay and close to lots of dining.

The property was beautiful. The fact the hotel was under current renovation wasn't disclosed in any form on Expedia or the King Christian Hotel wedsite. It was complete eye sore. Waking up to drills, hammering, etc while on vacation for a 5-6 days wasn't very appealing. The location was great though. Easy access to the pier was a plus even with the construction in the area.

Half the property was undergoing construction. There is no parking available at all. I was charged $150 for “room damage” which was charged to my card the day after I checked out so that I couldn’t dispute the charge in person. I was told this was for soiled linens that happened in the middle of my stay. I unexpectedly started my period a little bit of blood got onto the sheets and a towel, it did not get on the mattress. It has been a struggle to contact someone at the hotel and I have been bounced around with different managers. I feel very taken advantage of since the charge is excessive for the perceived “damage” and it was charged after I had already checked out. I have never had a hotel charge me for a little blood that can be easily removed and sanitized with bleach.

The side of the hotel we stayed was recently renovated. The AC worked surprisingly well. The staff was amazing! We received complimentary cocktails at checkin, they escorted us to our room, and provided great recommendations for food and activities. The customer service is some of the best I've received!

Lovely hotel

The staff was amazing!! So helpful and kind. The room was awkwardly beautiful. The bathroom was brand new but you had to walk up a step to enter. The bed was so comfortable and the decor was very nice. The only thing that was questionable was the musty throw pillow on the bed. Overall it was convenient, new and comfortable. Beware the rooms are not soundproof. You will hear all the street noise and traffic but it all dies down at midnight.
