positives: Clean well laid out bathroom which looked new. Caramel and chocolate colour scheme was soothing. Location was very convenient, allowing walking to local shops and restaurants. Shower was hot and good pressure. Firm bed. Quite a large room. Everything looked and smelt very nice and clean in the room. Considering that there was an all hours MacDonald's drive through across the road, and noisy other occupants, it was very peaceful and quiet by sleep time. Nice, friendly efficient staff. We didn't use the pool, but liked that the option was there. Negatives: balconies and stairs a little dingy, and reaked of cigarette smoke, but this dispersed after a while. Car spots are plenty but very snug. Other patrons were pretty noisy, but everything went lovely and quiet by about 10.30pm. Lighting was a bit gloomy, various lights around room but none in ceiling.

Proximity to takeaway and town was great. Lovely big clean family room. Need two room keys so you can leave the heater on when you leave the room as it’s chilly in Ballarat. They did have electric blankets on the beds though.

Central location and very clean. Our only issue was a lack of hot water! It wasn't hot enough for a decent shower and after a long day in the winter weather this was very disappointing.

Good but room for improvement!

Updated bathroom was spacious and had sufficient space on the vanity vanity unit for our toilet bags. The main room had insufficient lighting so was a bit gloomy. The twin beds were comfy, but the electric blanket on one side of a bed could not be plugged in because there was no power point available. At check in a request for payment was made even though I had booked and paid online.

Convenient and comfortable

Check-in was easy but felt the one in charge was a bit cold, even my teenagers felt the same way. Anyway, room was spacious enough. Layout was different to the picture shown on our booking which appeared bigger. Bed was firm and comfortable, toilet and spa was clean, the convenience of having a toaster/kettle and microwave was a bonus. The aircon took ages to go into “heating” mode. And it was 13C that day so warming up the room was a must. Advised as to wait for 20 or so minutes to wait for hearing to kick in and not to go beyond 25C in sertibg it up on the remote. But it definitely took longer than 20 minutes! Overall the location itself was a convenient stay.
