Austria Trend Hotel Ljubljana

They ask for the deposit to be "safe" that we are not going to drink everything from the mini-bar. We gave a bill of 100 EUR, but our change of 50 EUR was never returned (deposit receipt was on 50 EUR). Besides this, they were very unfriendly and unprofessional, while trying to accuse us we are trying to cheat them (married couple in late 50s). Terrible experience, choose another hotel for your stay in Ljubljana.

Staff is not friendly as it should be, Parking is very expensive

The rooms we had were standard but clean and comfortable. Receptionists can use some help. We waited in a long line for about 30 minutes to check in. And about 20 minutes to check out. And we were told to come back in line when we take our car out of the parking lot to get the card validated - who wants to wait 20-30 min more? We just ended up paying for parking ourselves to avoid waiting in line again. Location is a little removed from the Old City but close to the highway. They must get bus loads of tour groups. Reataurant was so loud but once they cleared out, it was pleasant. Breakfast was good though.

Everything was great. The only small thing is the state of room's carpet which while it was clean could be in better condition.

I m very disappointed with the their stuff, not helpful at all.

We were told there would be a free shuttle bus to the city (and return) at the time of making our booking. When we tried to redeem this service we were then told there was not enough seats to accommodate us (a group of 3). Then we were told that only a total of 7 guests would be transferred to the city and back. This 'free' service was also a taxi, not a bus. Reception staff member Mojca Volf was very rude and intolerant when we approached her on the situation, and simply repeated "first in best dressed" (repeatedly). She refused to offer us a completely transfer as promised in our booking. So we ended up paying for a taxi as everything was so complicated. Ironicaly the Taxi driver we payed was the same one providing this 'free' transfer service for the hotel. We also had isssues redeaming the 'free' service on the return from Ljubjana back to the hotel. We had a little girl sitting on her mothers lap illegally in the taxi because the hotel bouble booked the transfer service. NOT WELL ORGANISED, VERY DISSAPOINTING! We felt this marketing was false and misleading. Breakfast was fantastic, free gym was fantastic and hotel room was well designed and impressive.

Staff was unfriendly and they overcharged for parking. The room carpets have stains. The only good thing about this place is it's breakfast selection.

This is a large commercial hotel. Twin beds were very narrow and low to the ground. Bathroom had a large tub/shower and we were not able to step into the tub/shower as it had extremely high sides. This tub/shower is not elderly/handicap friendly so we had to do a sponge bath.. Room has a couch, work desk and chair and bed area could be closed off for privacy. Ordered room service and it was excellent. Breakfast next morning was amazing. Big variety of foods to chose from.
