The Village Inn

When we arrived at hotel, no other guest were there and parking lot was empty. I went to front desk whe my family stayedbin car to wait for check in instructions. There was no one at front desk. I waited 3 or 4 minutes and then started to poke around. I noticwd a small sign saying use phone in lobby to call for assistance. Did not really want to use hamdset due to coivid, but picked it up and it just rang. I hung up and called again, finally the front desk lady came up and nodded to me to hold and went to feont deak to talk to a guest on phone. No worries! I waited again patiently. This conversation took at least 10 to 15 min. Chatting all about the local attractions while i stood there. Finally qith out much of an apology she then motioned me over, at this time my husband came in wondering what took so long. We got our keys and asked about the free breakfast that was advertisednon their website and she told u there was none due to covid. Once again i get it but then up date your website. My husband ask her to ask manager to update website as we were disappointed. Once again, fine, i get it. Finally after aleast 30 mins we get to our room. Keys do not work. For real. We all tey them lots of different ways to make sure. We go down to front desk. Ninone is there again. This time i yell hello!? She come up and we will her we cant get in. Sbe brings us up open door and we arw about to walk in and room is a mess. Pizza box on floor, beds a mess.

Everything you might need is within easy walking distance in this beautiful village. There is a lovely riverside walk on both sides of the Trent river, and an ice cream parlour for afterward just a 150m or so from the entrance. The rooms are clean, the hotel quiet, the staff very friendly.

Very nice receptionist and employees. Location is good. We were there while they were doing renovations so there was noise and dust but once it is completed it will be nice. Room was big and comfortable.

Hardwood floors looked nice but made for a cleaner room. Microwave would have been nice, as would USB plugs.

Exceptionally friendly staff and great service, the room and furniture were clean and comfortable.

I was disappointed with Expedia.ca as booking through Expedia it cost $55.00 more. Will not be using Expedia again.

Location is perfect, lots of parking and easy access to all local attractions.

Nice little town, this was a nice bed and breakfast. Could get a bit better breakfast though. people were very friendly

Convenient location - parking - close to shopping.............

It’s a nice hotel for that on the go situation if you are travelling through the city of lake field. Nothing to see or do there but the place was very quiet.
