Hotel Hermitage

The Hotel Hermitage is close to everything! We had a beautiful view of the river which was nice to wake up to each morning. The rooftop patio is also very beautiful.

The cleanliness of the property and the helpfulness of the staff was outstanding. I was not feeling well much of the trip, and the full trays of tea and snacks delivered to my room were much appreciated. The rooftop is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the views (with drinks delivered). My room had a jacuzzi tub and views of the Ponte Vecchio. It is exactly the type of room I love - a huge armoire rather than a closet, a comfortable bed - that feels more like a guest room in a home than a sterile hotel room. I also appreciated the ability to come and go as I pleased (keys to the outside door, elevator code, room key) with the security of others not being able to enter without a code/call to reception.

The hotel is in a great location, but is dated. Had a twin room and the beds were hard and the ac did not work. The staff was very accommodating which made up for the dated room. Very small elevator to get to reception which is on the 5th floor. Need to carry bags up a flight of stairs to get to the elevator. Roof top lounge is nice. Recommend for a nice glacé of wine before dinner. Overall good place to stay near Florence sights

This was my second stay at the Hotel Hermitage. The hotel is in a wonderful location, close to the Ponte Vecchio, the Uffuzzi, and the Mercato. The staff is always welcoming and helpful. They have a lovely rooftop deck overlooking the bridge and the Arno River where you can sit and relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the splendor of Florence. I highly recommend the hotel.
