The entire property has a very unique and quaint feel. The house was built in a Victorian style and the decor of the inn has very much kept in-line with that. The innkeeper was marvelously friendly and I adored just sitting and chatting with her in my spare time. The entire experience felt very much at home to me.

Simply one of the most beautiful B & Bs one could ever hope to encounter. The home is historic masterpiece, built by Collin McKinney, a signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence and whom the city of McKinney is named after. The home is filled with beautiful antiques, yet is so comfortable one can just sink cozily into pleasant rest. The colors are easy on the eyes, lighting is restful and you feel that all your cares are left outside. Then there are two of the most darling people you're likely to ever meet, Kathy and Bob. You'd be hard pressed to meet a more congenial couple in your travels. They are genuine down to earth hosts that give all their attention to your comfort and pleasure. They are totally engaging with wonderful tales and knowledge of the area. We went to our room and slid into a most comfortable bed, the linens felt so good, the pillows were just perfect. We slept well and arose to a beautiful morning. Kathy made a delicious breakfast of fresh fruits, toast made from fresh home baked bread, potatoes, eggs and bacon. It could not have been any better. Sadly, we had to leave to go back to our stressed out lives, but we have the warm memories of our time in Kathy and Bob's home which they were gracious enough to share with us. Many thanks and do yourself a favor and take a little time out and enjoy a little quiet time and charming beauty.

My wife and I grew up on farms about 10 miles south of Bonham, so we are not strangers to the area. We recently had to make a fast trip back from the Houston area for a funeral there and stayed at Granny Lou's. We stayed in their small cottage as it was the only accommodation available at the time. Loved it for the privacy and not having to go up stairs. The owners, Bob & Cathy Self are wonderful people (not native Texans, but with more Texas hospitality than many natives). They had temporarily donated their larger cabin to a young couple and their kids whose house had burned down. If you go to Bonham, I recommend you stay here.

Perfect spot to discover Bonham

My wife and I were heading to Bonham for the Keucklehan Ranch Rodeo and decided to stay overnight, so I booked the cottage at Granny Lou's. We were greeting by Kathy, one of the proprietors. Kathy is warm, pleasant and very helpful. The cottage was clean and comfortable and the house grounds were private, with lots of room to relax. Breakfast included great food and conversation with other guests. We left refreshed and happy that we decided to stay there. Certainly will be back. BTW--they are dog-friendly (Scotty and Bailey, their family dogs were great), which is an added plus.

First class service in an excellenty appointed B&B

The owner/innkeeper Jenniffer makes you feel very much at home in her beautiful Victorian property - which has ample parking. The period decor is very much in keeping with age of the property. There is plenty of space both in & out to spread your wings. Bedrooms are comfortable & spacious; the studio on top, where we stayed is large & well appointed. Breakfast is imaginative & well cooked. In short, this if far from the soleless motels & business hotels. We certainly plan to revisit - a great find.

Beautiful get-away with lots of leisure.

Granny Lou's B&B is the most beautiful and comfortable B&B I've ever stayed in at home or abroad. The innkeepers, Jay and Tracy are adorable and welcoming. They served the absolute best breakfast each morning and ensured our comfort each day. The price is modest enough for most budgets; we'd rate the accomodations to serve anyone from a business person to a bridal suite. We'd recommend this stay for anyone who wants to get away from it all, but still have the quaintness of town. We'll return to stay again.
