Almondy Inn

What a fantastic experience! Not many places will greet you with a bottle of wine, and a nice cheese plate to go with it, but the Almondy Inn will. Claudette and staff were so pleasant and attentive, and make our stay even more comforting, and the room was pretty comfortable to start with. Beautiful rooms with comfortable, big beds and the best water pressure I’ve ever had in a bathroom that wasn’t my own. 10/10 would recommend you check out this perfectly located spot, right by the wharfs and a short walk from the best food.

Great location only steps from Bannister Wharf and restaurants/shop. Was made to feel very welcome by innkeeper Claudette and her assitant. Highly recommend this place for a Newport visit. The property was also impeccably clean and comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay at The Almondy. It’s central location was excellent and a great base from which to explore Newport. Claudette greeted us on arrival and made us feel so welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our chat during the 5pm Sundowners that the Almondy holds for guests. Breakfast was another highlight, Claudette’s breakfast are a fantastic start to the day, coupled with her most infectious smile, laughter and happy welcome to breakfast each morning. Indeed Claudette went out of her way to ensure we had breakfast despite our early departure on our last morning. Always attentive, her advice and recommendations were so helpful from ensuring we managed to get a reservation for dinner during the busy Boat Show; recommendations as to where to go for sightseeing. Can’t recommend The Almondy enough. We will definitely be returning!! Thanks Claudette for looking after us so well.

Claudette’s b&b is amazing! Quality and service was awesome ! The wine and cheese was a nice touch before we headed out to the restaurants/town which was super close/convenient to walk to. The breakfast was delicious & service was outstanding ! I would definitely recommend and go back again!
