Homewood Suites Jackson

It was a good stay, but the TV didn't work and I had to go to the first floor to contact the desk clerk because my phone in the room wasn't working. There wasn't anyone who could come and check it out since the person had gone home. Bed slept good and everything else was fine. It was my birthday getaway with my husband but none of that ruin my 71st birthday.

Southern Hospitality At It’s Finest!

Courteous and professional front desk staff. Due to my husband’s disability, the agent took me to the room before checking in to make sure it would work. The room was beautiful and spacious and very clean. Excellent hot breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

The room was not adequate for the number of people in our group. I booked the room for 4 people, 2 adults and 2 children. I have accurate ages of the children. I knew the room had a sofa sleeper but did not know that it was a love seat sofa sleeper that was inadequate for 2 people. The air conditioner/heater didn’t work. And they had no roll away bed

Power outage

The power went out around 3am, fire truck out front and I could hear a distance fire alarm. Nobody came around to tell us what was going on, no one at the front desk. Luckily we still had hot water to take a shower. Finally found out someone had hit a pole near the hotel so half the hotel was without power. They were unable to serve breakfast which I understand but they offered us no compensation since it was not their fault.

About our stay

Check-in was good. The room was newly remodeled and everything was very clean. Our toilet stopped up the second night about 8:30 p.m. We called front desk from the room's phone several times but no answer. I called from my cellphone and someone immediately picked up. I explained the issue we were having, they said they'd contact maintenance and that someone in another room was having the same problem. It was time to check-out the following morning and still no maintenance had been there so we had to stay there with a filthy toilet all night.

Nice hotel but check your credit card

The hotel and staff are fine. I have an issue with them charging my credit card at check-in even though I had already pre-paid with Expedia. Still have not gotten my money back.
