Hampton Inn by Hilton Gainesville-Haymarket

We stayed here for a football tournament and the overall stay was ok. We stayed 2 nights and house keeping never came once to take out the trash. But please beware this hotel is next to train tracks and trains come through multiple times a night and since its right next to the rooms its rather loud.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Great location. Friendly staff. Free breakfast in AM. Fantastic experience.

Staff was very friendly and attentive but the hotel itself definitely needs some help. The window coverings were falling off, the bathroom light panel was cracked, both the hallway and bathroom light bulbs had no coverings and we're exposed, sheets and towels smelled like they hadn't been washed in any kind of detergent, and between the dark floors, yellow walls, and dim lighting the room was so dark and dreary. Overall in need of some TLC.

The hotel is next to train tracks. In the middle of the night there were three trains that went by. They blew their horns and the trains made an unbelievable noise. It woke us up it was so loud. Additionally, every time the air conditioner went on i thought it was an explosion going off. Two nights of no sleep. I would not recommend the hotel if sleeping at night is important.

Everything was great, not a thing wrong with cleanliness, location, staff was polite and friendly, plenty of options for food and shopping. I had one issue. I got stuck in the elevator.

They need to have bath mats. Tile floors once a little wet were very slippery!!

COMFORTABLE STAY

Would have given excellent rating bc the staff and accommodations were great. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The only negative is that it’s next to train tracks. They do provide earplugs in every room ;)

Overall the quality was OK. The location was convenient, but there was a freight train located just adjacent to the hotel. Guests do not learn about this until check in, which is unfortunate. Due to COVID, one would hope that cleanliness standards would be increased, but one would be disappointed, as I was.

The tv service was horrible.it was raining and the TV SERVICe kept going in and out
