Is Arenas Resort

Overall we enjoyed our stay but there were a lot of things that could be improved. I will Pros: Newer resort. Rooms were nice, basic with tile and stone. Food was good at the restaurants. Private beach with chairs and umbrellas. Quiet, pretty area. Staff is friendly and helpful. Maid service was 2 times a day and towels were continiously replenished. Towels for beach and pool were available for use at each location. Pool was nice, clean and had a jet area. Nice robes provided. Cons: Wifi was terrible in the rooms, pretty non-existent but you could go near the lobby and get it. Food and drinks, including mini-bar and lunch were overpriced. Fridge did not have freezer. Curtains were old with holes. Was clean overall but could have used a more detailed cleaning. Only one trashcan in our room that was in the bathroom and it was tiny. Did not seem to have recycling for all the plastic bottles. Beach was nice but had a lot of seaweed. The strip of beach that pertains to the hotel is about half a mile long but none of the proprietors have bothered to pick up the plastic trash that accumulates on beaches nowadays. So sad - stop using plastic people, it's ruining our earth! Breakfast buffet is hectic to say the least. Too many people and not enough staff. Would have been nice to have some suitcase racks to open our suitcases on. I know I am being picky but we paid about 400 Euro a night due to high season and I just expect more for our money!

Very nice place but the waiters on breakfast need to take a break very unfriendly.
