4.5 Star Hostel on The Concrete Coast

On arrival we were allocated a room on the 16th floor - partial ocean view blocked by another hotel. We were reallocated to the 25th floor with the ocean view accomodation we had booked. The public area and facilities are well maintained - the accomodation is filthy !! We booked 2 bedroom apt for 4 adults and 1 child. We are allocated 4 towels for 1 week. Pool towels are unavailable and rooms never cleaned during your stay. We were told to wash one of the adult towels for the child and also to use same towels for beach. See photos for cleanliness !!!! Hotel club impossible to contact for the duration of our stay.

Carpets in the room very filthy. Lounges in the room turned from off white to nearly black from dirt. Seemed like they have never been cleaned. Overall experience was pleasant. Location was good.

There is nothing about this property that I didn't enjoy, and will be my new 'go to' place to stay at the coast. From customer service, facilities, room, location... Our whole family loved our stay.

For the 5 night stay we had only one of the 2 lifts were ever working. With covid etc, lifts were always full and having to wait almost every time for the few turns in the lift. Apartment was run down, had a strange wet mouldy smell to it. Very basic amenities.

Friendly and helpful staff There are no coffee places close by to the apartment or convenience store. You do have to walk quite a bit. Transport Tram is close by and easy to use.

On the face of it, the Artique ticks all the boxes - amazing views, good location, spacious apartment and pool. But if you look closely, the apartments lack the finishing touches that would make it superb. For example, toiletries were poor quality (and only given one bottle of shampoo and conditioner for a family of four staying for 3 nights); no room service so we were told to go down to front reception to collect additional coffee sachets; blackout curtain was falling off rails and could not be reattached; cracks in walls; mould spots in bathroom; furnishings and decor were outdated. Overall, we still had a good stay. The Artique is good, but could be great. What it lacks in finesse is made up by the amazing views.

This Resort was in an excellent location and we found our unit to have everything we needed and was very clean and spacious. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent location! Right across from the beach and tram. Spacious apartments, everything you need for a great holiday! We walked to Caville Avenue almost every night and had a wonderful stay. Kid loved the pool and spa.
