The hotel itself and location are perfect access from the M4. Te reception received from the young man on arrival was superb, very polite, informative and everything you want from a good welcome. Unfortunately the Rio. Had been set for a family, so needed to call house keeping to sort the sofa bed etc, but they were very efficient and sorted promptly. Whilst I appreciate times are different, on both mornings my cooked breakfast in room was cold. Delivered on cold plates (no excuse) just about edible without getting it replaced. The second day the breakfast was nearly 30mins late arriving (7-30 arrived at 7-55). The in room app whist it works, is very complicated fir someone who isn’t into tech, I am pretty with it as far as tech is concerned and I struggled to get it to work. On the last occasion it kept telling me I had an open order so I gave up and ordered through reception. The final bill was wrong, as the room rate charged was not as my confirmation, they are now aware of this and it should have been rectified. £50 pound is £50 pound after all! I would return again, the evening meal I had was .excellent and the in-house bar service delivered in a timely manner. I think £18 per night is a bit steep to park the car and residents should be offered a discount on this price.

We paid for a signature room when the hotel knew the signature Lounge and other additions associated with that type of booking were not available. We had to o s room because the view was the motorway not golf course as advertised. There was no resort transport and the only availability for dinner was 30 mins away Soyuz had to take a car. Breakfast was over 30 mins late and no offer for extended checkout was made despite breakfast not arriving u til 11.10am

I've stayed here many times however they need to get their act together during lockdown. Ordering drinks in the bar via the app was a joke - nobody could get it to work. And the Breakfast in room only service was terribe - arrived late and with parts missing. Not what you expect for £170!!!! You can do better than this guys.

First room smelt strongly of smoke. Second room had problems with the fridge and the drying line above the bath. Maintenance fixed the fridge quickly but required a room reset involving turning the electricity off while my partner was in the bath. We’ve stayed here several times before and this is the first time we’ve had any issues.

Expensive hotel very near motorway - be aware you may be able to hear and see the motorway from your balcony. It is a 5 star hotel but stars aren’t everything. The lifts were very congested and I waited over 10 mins for lift to arrive . Breakfast was quite average (it thought there would be a lot more choice). To top it off they charge you £18 to park your car .

This is a large resort hotel. It is significantly let down by the quality of the service, which in my experience is poor. For example there were empty drink bottles outside our room on arrival. The bed was not properly made. We ordered a ice bucket (to be informed that it would cost £4.99) and it took a good 40 minutes to arrive. At breakfast ( food quality was good), we had to ask three times for coffee, which when it did arrive was luke warm at best. These are just some examples of lack of detail and attention I would expect from a quality hotel.

Booked a Room with balcony but unable to use as door gaffer taped closed ! No for warning that what we booked was negated ! Should have been upgraded to a better room or token bottle of wine in recognition they expected us to stay in that room knowing it was not usable. Other than that our stay was good
