Good service, good breakfast, good bar, rooms are alittle tired looking.

A little disappointing

The hotel foyer and bar is fairly up to date , the rest of the hotel is shabby and in need of an upgrade , the decor is and furniture in our room was dated and a mixture of era .Carpets were in need of a deep clean and the pillows were uncomfortable .random statues everywhere just didn’t go.The smell of smoke in the corridor near our room was very strong but luckily did not penetrate our room . The staff were friendly and accommodating, the food north breakfast and the one dinner we had was very good.Taxi driver on way to airport told us it has been sold and will be demolished for housing .It had to be something like that or a huge amount of money to upgrade the whole hotel, but it would of been worth it , it’s a shame to loose an old building to yet more housing and to the huge hotel companies

Disappointing, won't be back

Room was small, bed mattress was too soft. Walls were so thin, we could listen to next room's TV. Wasn't impressed when asked to pay for parking. I ended up in free spaces around the corner from the hotel or public car park that was on 80p per hour

1st time Jersey

Comfortable hotel, 10 mins walk to centre of St Helier. Curteous staff, good breakfast!

I stayed for two nights at Savoy and even attended the NYE Gala Dinner. The hotel is nice, the food was good, and the staff were friendly. But, on the last day of check-out (Jan 2), I found that they can't keep the luggage which put me into too much of stress and difficulty as the ferry from Jersey was at 21.20hours. I was told that they are closing down the hotel from 2nd but that doesn't mean that the customers need to be told to pick their luggage and leave at the check-out time (and when I explained my difficulty, they told me that I could leave it till 12.00 or so but that's of no use anyway.) If they could have mentioned it clearly at the time of booking itself, I might have chosen a different hotel. The web site just said that there's refurbishment going on but nothing about Jan 2nd. I know that this is an one-off incident but in my opinion, the customers' difficulties are ignored.
