the rooms were kept clean and in new condition. the walkway to the room had much uneven surface boards that was a serious tripping hazard

Poor accommodations not as advertised

The hotel was not as advertised. There was mould in the shower from a previous leak. The shower door did not stay closed. There was a lot of items broken or cracked or poorly completed workmanship. There were no blankets to be offered to the room as they only had a limit supply. Only had a beach towel in the room and the linings on the chair on the balcony were dirty. This was the old side of the hotel. When I told staff I will be going to another hotel and can not complete my stay there was no compensation and they refused to give back my last day stay. I would not recommend this hotel to any of my friends. Also staff was not knowledgeable about eatery’s in the area advertising me to go to Scarborough as the closest restaurant when I was able to have something across the street.

Book any hotel except this one!

Do not be fooled by the "pretty pix" and great reviews. I found this place to be the worst. The room (68) had so many issues, which I reported to the front desk and nothing was done to address any of them. The toilet would make a loud booming sound after running for some time after flushing. The shower walls looked as though they had never been cleaned. Also, a crack between the door and wall allowed water to soak the floor. I had to request a fitted sheet for the bed as when I arrived, a flat sheet was hanging on the bed as the bottom sheet. The hotel has no wash cloths and even getting a hand towel was like pulling teeth! The restaurant has an extensive lobster menu, but the chef seems to think that lobster and any other seafood has to be cooked for ever. My first and only lobster dish was simply chewy--lobster should NOT be chewy! Tried a couple of other seafood dishes and the result was the same. The staff is generally very nice with some exceptions. I was also amazed that I had to pay for water and ice, as a paying guest. If you stay here remember, it is your only food choice for quite a distance. I will never book this place again, no problem. As I have stayed in hotels around the world, this was by far one of the worst. I found it to be worse that the Runway Hotel in Trinidad. Actually, I was expecting Runway to be far worse than Bacolet, it was the reverse. The food was even better at Runway! BTW, this is not my first time at the rodeo.
