Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tampa USF Busch Gardens

The experience was good and the location to enjoy Bush Gardens Park was great.

It is a nice motel, convenient to Busch Gardens-only 1/2 mile with shuttle service. However, the floors in the public areas were terribly dirty both the tile floors and the carpeted areas. The door handles of our room were not wiped off or sanitized because there were spills and fingerprints all over and around the handle so made us wonder what else was not sanitized during this Covid-19 pandemic. Luckily, we brought our own sanitizing wipes.

I have stayed here numerous times. The condition of this hotel has deteriorated through the years. My room was disgusting it had absolutely no towels I asked house keeping and was completely ignored. Considering we are in a pandemic the room was not up to cleaning standards. There was trash laying in the hallways and again house keeping was in the hallway. This hotel is excellent for a quick trip to Busch gardens the free breakfast and the shuttle is a definite asset and I love staying here on prior occasions but they need to address the issues.

The rooms were out dated. The light kept flicking off and on. Toilet kept running. Not very clean and ran down. Staff was very friendly.

It was okay, didn’t like the homeless people hanging around the hotel! The customer service lady wasn’t very friendly when we checked in! The other young ladies were much friendly & courteous that works at the desk! Also we heard loud noises from people walking back & fourth outside the window! We were on the first floor!!!

I had seen some poor reviews after I had booked . But have to say service was great and or room was decent and clean. They put on a free bus to take you to and from busch gardens which was great. It's says on site that it's two minutes walk but it's 2 min walk to back wall of busch gardens. Probably over 30 minutes to front entrance. Which leads me to only negative point of stay. The area is awful to say the least. Didn't feel safe at all. And when reading was recommended not to walk street day or night. Crack heads everywhere. Even when wee arrived the where people sitting outside front door drinking. We where actually in shock . But as I said room was clean service was great. So it did the job.

Lets start with the PROS: Great Location if you are going to Busch Gardens. Good shuttle, minutes away so why park at Busch. And Peter, an employee was very helpful . Now for the Cons: Filthy Room and Bathroom (Pubic hairs on the floor and tub.. were GROSS). Roaches running around in the Bathroom (my wife discovered at 2am!). Hardly any TP in the bathroom, I had to go chase some down and the TP Holder was hanging by one screw. So another issues, You cant get coffee in the morning so you have to use the Keurig in the room which does not brew! Also No Hair Dryer, I had to get one from the front desk.
