Holiday Inn Express Beijing Minzuyuan

Made a morning call but not received any. Checked with hotel later and it confirmed that they did receive the request, not providing the reason about the missed call.

When I was booking my room, I saw the laundry facilities service, but the front desk said they don't have that service. Also, the hotel didn't provide bell man service for check in and check out. The guest needs to take the luggage to the room with a bell cart by them selves. It's really bad experience

This breakfast buffet was awesome! Always plenty of food, plenty of room to sit and eat and the variety for different cultures was available. The hotel was clean and we never lacked for anything. Sometimes the staff at the front desk had a difficult time with English, but for the most part, I was able to get my point across to them and get what I needed.

Stay was great, check-in smooth. Air Conditioning in the room was a bit warm, but at minus 10 degrees outside, it was understandable!

Location is quite alright, 10 mins away from subway. However, our bed was infested with bedbugs. They were big, about 1cm in size.

It is amazing to learn that there isn't a refrigerator in the room. In the hot summer of Beijing, we could not store anything to make it cool for our comfortable consumption. Only 20+ channels of entertainment to choose from, less than average.

Room was supposed to be non-smoking but reeked of cigarette smoke. None of the hotel staff were willing/able to recommend local restaurants etc. (and my partner speaks some Mandarin).

The shower room tile grout can be cleaner. Furniture is too old and not in good condition. But the front desk is very kind and very helpful.

Good location. Nearby the subway station. Comfortable room, friendly staff. The breakfast could have more western food.
