Inn At Swan River

This was a great hotel for our small family. The kitchenette was great with a young child. The pool and grounds are very pretty and the property is pretty quiet. The front desk was always very responsive. It's right by the beach and the best ice cream shop around: Sundae School. Our first trip to Cape Cod will NOT be our last thanks to the Inn at Swan River!

Very Knowledgeable Owner , made exploring the area and dining delightful. Looking forward to the renovation and will be visiting the location again. The pool and the fire pit are a plus !

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Inn. The hotel was clean and the pool was very nice. The gentleman who checked us in was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.

We did not receive service between nights so our barrels were full. We only received 2 sets of towels and 1 facecloth , for 4 people. We had to ask for more, and when we got them they were warm from the dryer. We also received 1 and 1/4 rolls of toilet paper , and since there was no service between our nights we ran out and had to wait for staff to arrive in the morning to get some more. The workers were all courteous. Beds comfortable. Parking tight. Pool was well kept and grounds around pool lovely, and relaxing . Through no fault of the Inn, there were some people vaping some serious stuff out in front , and well, there is a provided smoking area way in the back corner of property ...not out in front where I have to walk by with the family. I would describe it as a hotel and not an Inn, in case anyone books thinks it’s a quaint little inn, which I did not , but clients might.

Above average property. We stayed for 6 nights and enjoyed the property. COVID has effected the area and many businesses are closed for good. But as for the hotel they have invested in new landscaping and exterior improvements. The pool was nice but only open from 9am-6pm. Very pet friendly but the extra fee can add up quick. We had the King suite with Kitchenette which was perfect for a two people and a dog. New AC units work great and a nice view of the rear of the property. I would recommend and stay again if I get this way again.

We had an excellent stay under owner Meri's care. She kindly accommodated our small dog and it was easy to keep our four-legged companion out of public area's just in case someone staying there had allergies etc. Moxie was able to join us for a lovely breakfast on the back patio. We were served fresh fruit (raspberries, strawberries, blueberries and creme fraiche), cheese omelet, cheese grits, ham and sausage links, with spinach and heirloom tomatoes. We were only stopping briefly overnight, though we wished we were staying longer. There are bicycles and kayaks available at no charge and the water is available in two directions including a short walk to the beach. In response to Covid-19 Meri leaves rooms empty for 24hrs between guests and the rooms are aired out and thoroughly disinfected. There were other thoughtful Covid touches such as disinfectant stations and disposable paper hand towels in the public bathroom. The public areas are spacious allowing guests choices inside & outside to gather with family & friends. Water cooler with floating lemon wedges were appreciated along with air conditioned public spaces. We had a window unit AC along with a TV in our room. Speaking of rooms our queen bed with soft sheets and extra pillows was super comfy. There were two luxurious robes & slippers hanging in the closet, fluffy white towels, and a nice assortment of toiletries.

When I entered my room there were 6 flies waiting for me. I promptly got rid of them and hopped into the shower before dinner. The shower was disgusting. You would think that especially during COVID times that things would look exceptionally clean. This was far from it. (Pictures attached). I also was visited by two more flies while showering and noticed a bar of soap already opened in the shower... After my shower I went to the front desk and asked if I could get a new room and was told that there was nothing that could be done about the flies, that the bathroom had been cleaned before my arrival, and that I could not get a new room. I attempted to dry my hair but the blow dryer in the room was sub par at best. There were liquid ant traps in the bathroom vanity. I packed my things up and checked out. The front desk associate told me that the building was from the 60s so this is what you get on the Cape. I know this is not what you get on the cape as I have stayed in far nicer places.

We booked a room at this inn and by mistake paid for fri night but meant to book sat night. They made no accommodations to help us find another night to stay and were extremely rude when we spoke with them. Guess all they care about is themselves and that they received payment for no services!! Would definitely not recommend staying there.

Older and more run down than I expected. The pool and gardens look nice. Would have thought given the name, this would at least have a view od Swan River. It does not

My family and I had been going there for years, however, now under new ownership we are not so happy. The front desk women was rude when checking in, not just to me but my 82 year old Uncle and Aunt regarding where they parked
