Nuvo Hotel Suites

Stayed at this hotel nov 22/20 rooms and hotel where excellent clean lots of sopping Safeway grocery store across the street Starbucks liquor store right beside hotel transit c-Tran very close Owner are on sit and very helpful and some of the kindest people I will stay here again when visiting Calgary thanks for the treats Reid 🙂

The stay was great as always, location is key with this hotel it’s downtown walking distance to everything. Will be staying here again soon!

Cool concept and nice modern fixtures, however, remodeling was done in a bandaid fix manner and cleanliness is definitely lacking. AC unit leaked all down the wall and onto the floors and the fix was to sop it up with a towel. It wasn't until I specifically requested the unit be unplugged that the fact water was dripping down and into the electrical socket that, that was even a consideration from management. Overall disappointed with the condition of property. The location is great, but otherwise I wouldn't recommend this accommodation

Our stay was soso, ended up staying over for two nights. Comfort and having a kitchen was great but the cleanliness was not so much there, dirty dishes and counter tops. The bathroom was very small with little to no lighting, at least in our room. The area of the hotel is very sketchy with homeless around. You have to park a block away with a $10 dollar charge hoping that nobody’s breaks into your vehicle with the doors being locked not sure if they’re was cameras around but felt unsafe. Unsure but every morning at 8:45am someone came knocking on our outside window. It’s also worth mentioning that the hallways were very loud, AM from PM. Despite all of this, we never had an issue with anything else. The owners were good, friendly and great at communication.

Was not clean ( half bottle of Gin in one of the cabinets, a plastic bag was wrapped around the smoke / Co2 detector, wine stains on the ceiling). Shifty characters in the suite across the hall( women escorts taking clientele in and out of suite hourly all night long). We checked out after two nights and went to stay elsewhere.

The area has many drug addicts on the street which would not be a problem, but they also stay in the hotel as guests. I could not sleep due to the noise! People yelling and even dogs barking inside the hotel. There was a strong urine smell in the hallway as well. I don’t recommend

This was a 4 night stay on a family trip, check in was smooth and the owners were really nice. But there were so many negatives to this place. -The exterior of the building had homeless around it day and night. Just hanging out by the doors or as you left, not the hotels fault; but not good for families. There are safer locations in Calgary. -Every night we were awoken to some sort of noise or commotion/fight. I think the hotel has long term renters. The cops were there 2/4 nights. -Our room was next to the front doors, you heard everybody come and go at all hours, the walls are not sound proof. You can hear people talking in other suites, or their pets barking. -Our room was in the basement, not ideal, but should be in the description. -Bathroom is super tiny. No bath. -Hotel stated it had breakfast, but due to Covid it was closed. Yet every other hotel on our trip provided a to go bag. No adjustment in price for not providing. -Suites are more like an AirBnb than a hotel room, which we liked. But the finishes are cheap and are showing their age. -Parking was not free and also a block walk away. -No ‘do not disturb’ sign. Would not recommend this hotel, pay a bit more and stay somewhere else.

Nuvo Hotel is not a hotel its like aan apartment. The staff was friendly but the outside and surrounding of the building is very shady with lots of homeless people around. Not a part part of the city. I will not stay here again.
