Grand Hotel Dechampaigne

The hotel is in an amazing area right by the chatelet station. There are a lot of sightseeing tourist sites nearby in walking distance. There is usually a franprix across the street but it was closed for renovations when we were there. I’m sure that once it reopens, it would make this hotel a much easier stay. The negatives are that it is an older hotel so the elevator is super small and the stairs are a little dizzying. The room we were in was small as well but for the location, it was all worth it.

Older property showing its age but service was great, and everything that we touched with first rate—from towels to sheets. The location just next to Metro put all of Paris at our feet. Very nice stay for those who want to stay at an alternative to the pristine and well starched business or chain hotels.

There was half consumed wine bottle in the room. There is no slipper in the room. Great location. Only a couple staff were nice the rest is unfriendly.

Everything was great! Loved how close it was to everything! It’s so perfect that it’s right next door to a grocery store. But be sure to grab your snacks and bottled water from there. They charged 3.50 euros for bottled water at the front desk.

Very nice 3 days in Paris especially after beating PSG! 😀 Historic town house with comfortable small rooms which are typically Parisian in size. Nice buffet breakfast and very pleasant staff. Well located for all the central sites. Would go back.
