Hotel Bayerischer Hof

Very convenient location to railway and opera house. City centre also within walking distance. Great to have a fan provided in the room in summer. Staff were helpful.

The hotel needs to be updated. There are very kitschy elements on every floor. THE HOTEL NEEDS TO GET AIR-CONDITIONING!!!! The world temperatures are changing, and it is no longer possible to say that AC is not needed in Bayreuth because the temperature goes down at night. Not this time. A fan won't do it anymore. The hotel must get AC!

Great location; good hotel

After missing a train, I came straggling into the hotel at almost midnight. I did NOT want to walk [with luggage], and was afraid they would be closed. Night desk met me, helped me to the room. Front desk was helpful in directing me around town for a VERY short stay, so I could see what the town had to offer. Breakfast was fine. Room was very nice.

Hotel with 70s Flair but Nice Staff

I stayed for one night. Overall, the staff working at the Hotel were friendly, nice and helpful. This was the positive surprise. However, the look & feel from the reception, the café/restaurant, product displays, toilets to the "themed" / decorated floors was less than attractive and it felt that the Hotel was stuck in the 70s (or 80s) with no renovation done since.

Always a pleasure to return to this hotel.

Easy access from the Hauptbahnhof in Bayreuth, excellent rooms, quiet, clean, updated, and excellent dining opportunities. Pleasant walk to city shopping, historical sites, wide market street (pedestrian only). Beautiful region ringed by rolling hills to the west and the Fichtelberg to the east, plus transport to nearby locations.

We enjoyed our stay at this quaint hotel, it has a high degreee of comfort and it's also very hommy. Very conveniently located, right next to the railway station. Good restaurants aroung that area too. The hotel staff was extremely courteous and helpful.

Another enjoyable stay

We have stayed at this hotel before and always enjoyed the clean, spacious rooms, friendly staff, great breakfast buffet and service, and its location close to the center of town.

Great place to stay

This was a really nice hotel with a great staff. Lovely breakfast buffet for 14€. They would even cook fresh eggs to order. We took many meals there and the food was delicious and well priced. Very convenient location, next to train station, services on the street and a straight shot to the Festspielehaus. My only reservation was that there was no A/C. (I'm not sure if there were other rooms that had A/C). Fortunately it was cool in the evenings. Other than that, everything was just lovely.

Excellent hotel close to station

This was an excellent hotel located close to Bayreuth station, but also very quiet. The town centre and attractions are a short walk away. A good restaurant serving authentic local food is just across the street.
