Noisest family room ever!

The staff and the hotel itself could not be faulted. The appearance of the hotel, cleanliness and the room we're fab. After 5 days of travelling across the country we felt excited at the fact we could finally rest well in what seemed on the surface to be a little more luxurious than our previous 4. However, our family room was situated on the ground floor right next to the entrance. Where people come and go ALL NIGHT! The door itself bangs EVERY TIME somebody enters or exits. The movement of people above us could be heard and felt into the early hours of the morning. The staff Manning the reception could also be heard chatting. Then from 6am the hustle and bustle of the hotel began again leaving us unable to sleep longer than a few hours and being even more weary than before! It's a shame as the hotel is in a beautifully historic building in a prime location!

EPIC ALL ROUND

Well me and my partner came here for Valentine's and my bank card got taken by machine at Tescos on fountain bridge and the hotel was really helpful plus the staff are all lovely and the breakfast was amazing and had a amazing nights sleep so keep up the good work Brooks hotel all our love from Justin and stacie

Very quiet at night, warm and comfortable room with kettle for hot drinks. Plenty of eateries in the area. Nearer to Haymarket station than Waverley, but not too far out of the centre. Friendly staff. Honesty bar, but no restaurant other than for breakfast.

Plenty pleasant

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Some areas could do with a bit of attention in the communal parts. The staff were friendly and helpful when we interacted with them. The breakfasts were good with plenty of choice. The location is about a 20 minute walk from the golden mile but there were still a good number of bars shops and restaurants a short walk away. Overall a good night's stay but some areas could do with a spruce

Long Weekend Break

The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. The vegetarian breakfast was good. Enjoyable stay.

Disappointed in nightstaff.

The walls are paper thin, heard ones partying till 4am, could not get a hold of staff , myself and 2other guests had to go to the door ourselves to complain, the music stopped ,for a while, the started again at 7am, phone in bedroom wasn't working, I tried to phone reception from my mobile,was saying enough messages left, can take anymore. Can't fault the breakfast.
